Mega Rise (Red Tiger): Overview
Although Mega Rise clearly leans into nostalgia and carries plenty of classic fruit machine DNA, it also sits comfortably in today’s online slot space. That said, it doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel. Even with a modern touch here and there, the developers stick to a simple, old-school approach. Using a 3 by 3 reel set alongside 5 paylines, Mega Rise largely revolves around the Rising Multiplier mechanic, which can raise your payouts by as much as 100x. This high variance title is playable across all devices, including iOS and Android, with stakes ranging from 20 cents to 40€ per spin.
Since it’s essentially a modern spin on a fruit machine, the stripped-back presentation is exactly what you’d expect. When you launch Mega Rise for the first time, it won’t be the plain background, familiar soundtrack, or standard symbols that grab your attention. Instead, most players will be drawn to the unusual multiplier bar on the right side of the reels, which is the main element that separates it from other similar slots.
As usual, the paytable isn’t particularly user-friendly. Rather than simply listing wins in relation to your current bet, Red Tiger continues to show values that make you reach for a calculator. Here, you need to multiply the symbol multiplier by your total stake and then divide it by 5 (paylines) to work out the full value of a line win. Either way, the reels feature classic fruit slot icons and, from lowest to highest value, they are cherries, lemons, grapes, watermelons, silver stars, bells and lucky sevens. The lucky seven pays the most, with three on a payline returning 15 times your stake. There’s no wild or scatter symbol, though there are a couple of special symbols we’ll explain below.
Mega Rise (Red Tiger): Features

The eye-catching multiplier bar mentioned earlier is tied to the Rising Multiplier feature and activates whenever you hit a winning combination. When that happens, the winning symbol is added to the bottom of the bar and its multiplier increases by 1x. This multiplier keeps climbing as long as you continue to land wins with that same symbol. The bar always shows three symbols, but when a new one enters, the symbol at the top drops out and its multiplier resets.
Watch for the Mega Rise Chip symbols. These may appear on any spin and are available in two versions :
- Standard Mega Rise Chip – can either increase the multiplier of a random symbol in the bar by up to 3x or lock a random symbol until a winning combination appears in view.
- Golden Mega Rise Chip – can either increase the multiplier of a random symbol in the bar by up to 7x or lock a random symbol with two locks until a winning combination appears in view.
Mega Rise (Red Tiger): Verdict
At its core, Mega Rise feels like a game built for a specific niche, and because of that it’s unlikely to appeal to the masses or set any new standards. Some players will enjoy the slow build of the multipliers and the suspense of having a huge multiplier sitting precariously near the top of the bar. Others, however, will see it as cruel, frustrating, or simply dull, since there’s no traditional bonus round to trigger and very few surprise moments to keep things fresh.
Mega Rise is another fairly standard entry from Red Tiger, but it may still be worth a spin if you’re fine with the no-frills setup and you don’t mind the all-or-nothing, numbers-driven style. If nothing else, the 6375 times your stake potential is a solid reason to test it out, especially given that we’ve already seen Red Tiger’s potential can be very real.
