Master of Atlantis is a bit of an oddity for Blueprint Gaming, as it’s a non-Megaways release. Considering that one of their biggest slots last year, Napoleon – Rise of an Empire, followed the classic 5×3 format, it’s always interesting to see what they deliver with a more “traditional” setup. Created as a Casumo exclusive, Master of Atlantis is a 5-reel, 4-row slot featuring 40 paylines.

With Poseidon on your side, you’ll get access to Trident Strike mystery symbols and the Poseidon Free Spins round, where Trident Power Spins can boost your chances of landing serious wins. The game is available on any device with stakes from 0.50 to 500 Eur per spin, which sadly rules it out for plenty of low-rollers, but will suit high-stakes players just fine.

Taking place in the underwater ruins of the fabled city of Atlantis, this mythology-inspired slot uses a cartoon-like visual style. Anchored on the ocean floor, the palette leans heavily into deep, dark blues. Bubbles drift upward in the background, while seaweed sways with the current. Add in the calm soundtrack, and the overall feel is relaxed and easygoing.

In the paytable, you’ll find A to 9 card suit icons in a Greek-inspired typeface, alongside higher-paying pearls, chests, sharks, krakens, and the game logo—this last one pays the most, awarding 20 times your stake for 5 of a kind. The wild is the Omega symbol, and it substitutes for every symbol except the scatter.

During the base game, the Trident Strike feature can trigger at random. When it does, you’ll see Poseidon’s trident slam into the seabed, while bubble-like mystery symbols are placed onto the reels. Once the spin resolves, those bubbles convert into one randomly selected symbol, increasing the potential for bigger wins. If you’ve played other Blueprint slots, this is a familiar mechanic that shows up across many of their titles.

The real focus, though, is the Poseidon Free Spins feature. It’s triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, awarding 1, 2 or 3 Trident Power Spins respectively, plus 5 free spins. Your goal is to gather as many trident symbols as you can. Collect 5 tridents and you’ll receive 1 times your stake. Reach the cap of 20 tridents and you’ll claim the top scatter payout of 100 times your stake.

Once Free Spins begin, any Scatter symbol that lands on the screen pays out its scatter value. So, if you’ve collected 20 tridents, every trident that appears will award 100 times your stake. If 5 land on a single spin, you’ll take 500 times your total stake in addition to any other line wins during the bonus. Also watch for the Poseidon scatter symbol—when it appears, you’ll be shown 4 chests. Choose one to uncover either extra free spins or additional Trident Power Spins.

Master of Atlantis doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s certainly sui generis. While the base game offers a respectable 800x win potential, it can feel a bit drawn out, and the main highlight is the mystery symbol mechanic—which, more often than not, seems to land in less-than-ideal positions.

What really helps Master of Atlantis stand apart is the bonus. Even though it doesn’t deliver the kind of outrageous single-spin hits found in plenty of other Blueprint slots, you can still win up to 10,000 times your stake if RNG happens to favor you.

Built around a medium variance model, Master of Atlantis plays more evenly than many higher-volatility alternatives. It may not be the next trendsetter in iGaming, but it’s refreshing to get something different instead of yet another Megaways clone.
