Still, overall Mad Blast comes across as more proof of Push Gaming shifting from fearless trendsetter toward following what’s currently popular.

Even so, Mad Blast is a strong scatter-paying slot. The production quality is high, and the tweaks—while they may look modest on paper—can feel lively in play. Some DoubleMax fans may be disappointed that the Total Multiplier in the bonus round doesn’t carry over between free spins and instead drops back to the lowest possible value, depending on how many scatters started the feature. However, this approach seemed to keep wins coming at a decent rate, since the feature has more flexibility rather than sitting at a higher multiplier level and running into “dead” free spins.
