Loot & Labyrinths: Slot Overview
If the idea of rolling a d20 before applying bonuses and modifiers gets your pulse racing, then software provider Play’n GO may have built the online slot you’ve been waiting for. Called Loot & Labyrinths, it’s a fantasy-themed game packed with clashing swords, dice rolling (yes, real dice rolling), and a clear Dungeons & Dragons mindset. Play’n GO tends to do well with this kind of material. Not exactly roleplaying slots as such, but the studio has delivered strong Arthurian titles before—The Sword & the Grail (2019), for instance—so it’s already comfortable with legends, quests, and adventure, which is a good sign.
It’s rarely this tabletop-focused, though—and that’s meant as a compliment. Loot & Labyrinths fills the display with miniatures, dice, and character sheets, like a group of friends has gathered for a night of roleplaying. Voiceovers help sell the vibe, and the energetic soundtrack boosts the sense of drama, so if you want a fantasy roleplay-style slot, Loot & Labyrinths is about as close as D&D on the reels as you’re likely to find.

The adventure unfolds on a 5×3 matrix with wins paid across 20 paylines. Before you take on this medium-high volatile slot and start rolling, you’ll select a wager of 20 c to $/€100 per spin. There are five RTP setups available, with the top option coming in at 96.34%.
Four monster icons act as Loot & Labyrinths’ low-paying symbols, while 4 adventurers make up the higher pays. Landing 5 matching low pays returns 1 to 1.5 times their bet, rising to 6 to 10 times their bet for 5 matching high-pay symbols. Wilds can appear on every reel and substitute for any standard paying symbol. A 5-wild win line pays 40x.
Loot & Labyrinths: Slot Features

In Loot & Labyrinths, players can dice their way into 3 bonus games, a free spins round with different buffs, plus a Dice & Ranks side quest.
Bonus Games
The Random Encounter symbol can appear on the leftmost reel during the base game. When it does, it activates 1 of 3 bonus games, decided by the symbols that land on the next reels on the same row. A mix of high and low-pay symbols starts the Monsters Attack bonus game (win 10x-50x), only low-pay symbols start the Treasure Lair Bonus game (win 15x-75x), and only high-pay symbols start the Tavern Night bonus game (win 20x-100x).
These bonus rounds begin with a starting win potential of 10x in Monsters Attack, 15x in Treasure Lair, and 20x in Tavern Night. The symbols that landed in the row with the Random Encounter symbol shape how the bonus game plays. Each low pay symbol increases the difficulty level of the dice roll – low pay 1 by 3, low pay 2 by 4, low pay 3 by 5, and low pay 4 by 6. Each high pay symbol provides a dice bonus of +1 to the roll.
To claim a win in the bonus game, a 20-sided dice is rolled, revealing a result of 1 to 20, before any dice bonus is applied. Players win the prize when the final number is greater or equal to the total difficulty level. If the final dice roll reaches 20 or more, the player unlocks the next multiplier level and rolls again. Across the bonus games, multipliers of x2, x3, or x4 can be unlocked.
Free Spins
Landing 3 scatters grants 10 free spins. Each free spins round gives 3 random buffs revealed through picking ‘n clicking. The same buff may show up multiple times:
- Golden Artifact – changes a random high-pay symbol into a wild, using wild payout values.
- Lady Death – eliminates the lowest low-pay symbol from the reels.
- Forgotten Temple – adds +5 free spins.
- Abandoned Alter – adds +3 free spins.
While in free spins, multipliers of x2, x5, x20, and x100 are unlocked in sequence. The active multiplier is applied to the total win at the end of the free spins round. Each multiplier tier is unlocked by landing 5 high pay symbols that have a crossed swords icon on them. The attack icon can appear at random on any high-pay symbol. Hitting 3 scatters adds +10 free spins, up to a cap of 75 free spins.
Dice & Ranks
Players can access the character sheet to swap the dice look and track their progress. You can level up as you play, unlocking additional dice skins and ranks. Levels are earned by completing quests, and defeating the dragon awards the Dragonslayer rank. This part of the game appears to be purely cosmetic.

Loot & Labyrinths: Slot Verdict
A big part of the appeal of roleplaying games is that hefty rulebook packed with mechanics and lore, and Loot & Labyrinths brings plenty of rules—along with features—to the table. The bonus games are short, but they’re well done and deliver quick bursts of theme-driven fun during the base game. In simple terms, you’re given a target number, you roll a d20, apply any modifiers, and if the final total meets or beats the target, you collect the prize. The bonus game payouts aren’t massive most of the time, but that’s fine; they function more like side quests and offer a pleasant break while you chase the free spins round.
Free spins can be a bit unpredictable, and whether Loot & Labyrinths’ levelling up system is an improvement over something like The Sword and The Grail‘s wild multiplier is up to players to judge. In testing, free spins didn’t always generate huge tension, though it’s easy to see how the approach could become exciting when you’re close to the higher multiplier steps. Reaching the x100 could deliver a thrill or 2, and Loot & Labyrinths’ win cap is notably high at 20,000 times the bet. Play’n GO has even reduced its usual max exposure probability, though at 1 in 500 million, don’t expect Loot & Labyrinths to drop max wins like a barrage of lightning bolts.
Play’n GO has visited fantasy gaming slots before, with Tower Quest Legacy and Champions Of Mithrune as similar points of reference. Still, Loot & Labyrinths pushes the TTRPG inspiration even harder—perhaps too much for some—creating a packed experience that has trouble balancing its detailed theme with consistently engaging gameplay. While rolling dice as a daring gnome sounds entertaining, the end result can feel more tiring than truly gripping.
