Labyrinth of Knossos MultiJump: Slot Overview

A major plus of Yggdrasil’s YGS Masters initiative is how it unites multiple creators, each bringing their own style and know-how. One of the participating studios that clearly enjoys blending fantasy themes with mythology is Dreamtech Gaming. Staying true to that approach, Labyrinth of Knossos merges both worlds while introducing a freshly developed mechanic called MultiJump.

Right away, it’s clear Dreamtech continues the Ancient Greek vibe from Medusa Fortune & Glory, as the two titles feel closely related. Expect a light, cartoon-like setting for King Minos’ legendary maze, packed with cheeky characters. Players spin on a semi-transparent 5-reel, 243-pays ways layout set inside a dungeon, tinted in icy blues during the base game and shifting to warmer reds in the bonus. It doesn’t pop quite as much as Medusa visually, but the connection is obvious, and it looks good enough for the theme.

Adventurers can tackle the labyrinth on any device, with bets ranging from 20 p/c to $/€60 per spin. Even though multipliers appear often, they won’t always translate into massive outcomes because the math model is highly volatile. Wins land at a fairly steady pace, averaging one every 3.81 spins, or 26.24%. Free spins also arrive at a decent rate, theoretically about once every 158 spins or so. Rounding things out, the RTP sits at a solid 96.42%.

The reels feature ten paying symbols: 9-A royals, followed by swords, shields, the Minotaur, and Pasiphae – Minos’ wife who fell in love with the bull. A five-of-a-kind premium hit pays only 1 to 2 times the stake, which is intentionally low due to how multipliers are integrated. The wild symbol shows the heroic Theseus and can appear stacked on the middle three reels. Wilds can also come with multipliers and substitute for any standard symbols to help form wins.

With multipliers coming up so often, it’s no surprise they’re the backbone of Labyrinth of Knossos’ feature set. In the base game, random pay symbols or wilds can drop in carrying an x2, x3, or, x5 multiplier. That multiplier boosts any win the symbol contributes to. When multiple symbols in the same win have multipliers, the amounts are multiplied together as they hop from one relevant symbol to the next – this chain reaction is the MultiJump feature.

The action ramps up with the next feature: a triggered batch of free spins that enhances what MultiJump can achieve. Hitting 3, 4, or 5 boat scatters grants 10, 15, or 20 free spins respectively. During free spins, the key change is that pay symbols or wilds always land with a multiplier attached. This makes it easier to build meaningful MultiJump chains, which in theory can climb as high as 3,125x. Free spins may also be retriggered by landing 3 or more scatters, awarded exactly as they are in the base game.

Labyrinth of Knossos MultiJump: Slot Verdict

The collaboration with Yggdrasil appears to be paying off, as Dreamtech seems to refine its work with each new release. Labyrinth of Knossos feels far more focused than the first Dreamtech slot we covered, Ice and Fire. That earlier game aimed big, with equally oversized reels and visuals that would’ve looked advanced in PC gaming back in the early noughties. Labyrinth of Knossos looks more current. At the same time, the sprite-driven style also resembles what you might expect from studios like Relax Gaming or Rabcat. The presentation is perfectly fine, but it doesn’t feel as distinctive as some earlier Dreamtech titles. Perhaps leaning into a familiar look makes more sense commercially, though it would be a pity if that meant sacrificing some of the studio’s personality.

What helps Labyrinth of Knossos separate itself is the MultiJump mechanic. To be fair, it took a bit of time to appreciate. In fact, the fun factor swung around before settling into something more consistent. Early on, seeing multipliers scattered across the reels was genuinely thrilling. The frequent near-misses, or almost-wins, added tension. But after a run of multi-multiplier hits that still paid only modest amounts, the excitement dipped. You can stack several multipliers in a single win and still walk away with very little. At that stage, it can feel like flash over impact. Stick with it, though, and it can become genuinely engaging.

As usual, the best moments tended to arrive in free spins, which also triggered at a fair rate. In that mode, multipliers can build up, jumping from symbol to symbol across a payline and boosting the win into something far more impressive. Still, it could have gone even further. A potential 3,125x multiplier is enormous, yet the game’s default maximum win is ‘just’ 4,769x the total bet. Given how multiplier-heavy the design is, that cap feels relatively low and a bit mismatched. Then again, premium symbol payouts are small, which makes landing a huge result more challenging. It’s notable because earlier games like Medusa Fortune & Glory offered massive potential, so it’s disappointing that more of that upside didn’t carry over to Labyrinth of Knossos.

Overall, Labyrinth of Knossos is a fun entry, especially for mythology fans, and it’s good to see Dreamtech continuing to sharpen its design skills. MultiJump can deliver some high-energy sequences, but the experience would have hit harder if the default win cap or symbol values were higher.
