Kitty POPpins: Slot Overview
At the time of writing, anyone who adores cats was already well catered for when it came to kitty-led slots. Titles such as Kalamba Games’ Phat Cats Megaways, Snowborn Games’ Cat Clans 2 Mad Cats, and Relax Gaming’s Fly Cats Dream Drop were all in the mix. Now AvatarUX adds Kitty POPpins, eager to curl up in players’ laps and demand attention. As the name suggests, Kitty POPpins continues AvatarUX’s signature “popping” slot approach, a formula the studio sticks with relentlessly—almost to the point of fixation. Luckily, it’s a productive fixation, giving AvatarUX room to get inventive inside a familiar framework. This time, that framework comes packed with features, topped off with a soft, purr-worthy theme that still has claws.
Even though the title hints at a connection between Kitty POPpins and Mary Poppins, the game has little in common with the Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke classic. Instead, it leans into feline nobility and a suite of features that all begin with “Cat”. Visually, Kitty POPpins is a strong performer: the base game unfolds in a lavish room from a low, cat-level perspective, with warm golden light pouring through tall, refined windows. A regal-looking king cat sits to the left, implying this is a royal chamber—though even if it isn’t, it’s still the kind of setting cat fans can happily spin in the company of their favourite animal.

For all its cute, cuddly presentation, Kitty POPpins doesn’t treat the gambling side lightly. Stakes run from 20 p/c to $/€40 per spin, and there’s a broad selection of feature buy options available. An Ante Bet is also included; turning it on increases the bet by 25% while doubling the chance of triggering free spins. This is a highly volatile slot played on a 5×5 sized grid, which can expand during certain free spins rounds to deliver up to 59,049 ways to win, with a default return to player of 96%.
Wins are formed when matching symbols land on consecutive reels, starting from either the leftmost or rightmost side of the grid and continuing across. Hitting 5-of-a-kind pays 0.5 times the bet for the low-paying 9 to A card ranks, or 1x the bet for the mid-tier cat-themed items. The top payouts come from the premium cats: landing 5 matching premium cat symbols (there are 4 cheeky varieties) returns 2 times the bet. Wild symbols don’t appear in Kitty POPpins—maybe the cats are wild enough already. When winning symbols land, they are removed and replaced with new ones, and the tumble chain only stops once no further win is created.
Kitty POPpins: Slot Features

Kitty POPpins comes loaded with MultiPop, King Cat and his Cat-named modifiers, free spins, and the Xpress bonus buys.
MultiPop
Every spin can place random multipliers in random spots across the grid. When new symbols drop into those positions after a win, they increase the respective multipliers. Importantly, the multiplier belongs to the position itself rather than being tied to any particular symbol.
King Cat
King Cat triggers at random, and when he appears, one of the following modifiers is granted:
- Cattilycious Respin – extra multipliers are added to the grid, and all those active are locked in position while a respin triggers. If additional multipliers land on a position that already has a multiplier, the values are added.
- Cateriffic Re-Shuffle – frames which may have multipliers attached are added to the grid. Each position with a frame is shuffled around, providing a chance to win.
- Catcellent Removal – up to 2 low pay symbols are removed from the grid for the spin.
Free Spins
Hitting 3 scatter symbols awards 5 free spins on a grid 7 rows high, 4 scatter symbols grant 8 free spins on a grid 8 rows high, and 5 scatter symbols deliver 12 free spins on a grid 9 rows high. During free spins, the Royal Cat awards have greater effectiveness. Cattilycious Respins now award up to 8 position multipliers, Caterrific Re-Shuffle can shuffle up to 10 symbols, and Catcellent Removal removes up to 5 lower paying symbols.
Xpress
Inside the bonus buy menu, players can switch on the following options. Making King Cat active on every spin costs 7.5x the bet, while purchasing 5, 8, or 12 free spins costs 75x, 200x, or 500x the bet, respectively. The final choice is the Max option, which provides 10 free spins (the demo awarded 15) on a 9-row high grid with King Cat active on each spin, priced at 1,000x the bet.

Kitty POPpins: Slot Verdict
Kitty POPpins is yet another entry in the ever-growing “popping” slot catalogue—there have been so many it’s become hard to keep track. AvatarUX deserves credit for sticking so firmly to the concept while still trying to stretch, reshape, and refine it with each new release. It does raise an interesting question: what if AvatarUX ever created the ultimate “Pop” game? After hitting the absolute peak and crafting something you can’t realistically surpass, do you step away at the top, or keep releasing games that may be good—or even great—yet never quite match your masterpiece?
Maybe the fact that perfection is out of reach is exactly why creators keep pushing forward, even when the gains start to shrink. The upside for AvatarUX is that the gains aren’t shrinking at all so far, and Kitty POPpins stands out as one of the stronger titles in the series. Amusingly, the last time we saw the MultiPop system was in Zombie aPOPalypse MultiPop—amusing because shambling undead are about as far removed from a purring cat as possible. In many respects, Kitty POPpins is a “big” release, featuring a 20,000x the bet max win, reachable through a substantial set of mechanics, plus the extensive Xpress bonus buy setup—an optional extra that gives ELK Studios and its X-iter buy menu serious competition.
Put it all together like a coughed-up furball, and you get a high-energy “Pop” slot that’s easy to recommend firing up. KittyPOPpins’ large figures, feature-heavy design, and cosy exterior should feel like catnip to fans of AvatarUX’s poppin’ style slots.
