Jumpasaurs!: Slot Overview
After fending off the undead with a trusty revolver in its debut Dead Headz, Hacksaw Gaming partner Jinx Gaming returns with release number two. It’s called Jumpasaurs!, and it further suggests the team is, at least partly, made up of passionate video game fans. This time, rather than a first-person shootout, the game rewinds to a chunkier visual era, when platformers ruled and characters like Mario and Luigi sat on the throne. Only here, instead of plumbers, Jumpasaurs stars a crew of five laid-back dinosaurs, chilling out and enjoying a Mesozoic world that’s teetering right on the edge of extinction.
Jumpasaurs is a slot built as a throwback to classic gaming. The visuals deliver a blocky, 8-bit haven: a clean, idyllic landscape with trees, mountains, a waterfall, and more. The bonus round shifts the mood, transporting play to a harsher scene of dead trees, volcanoes, and seas of lava. The story is simple—one moment the dinosaurs are living peacefully (well, aside from the whole hunting-and-eating-each-other thing), and the next, disaster strikes and everything changes. Could something like that happen to us? Could an undetected asteroid, or some other unexpected black swan event, shatter the idea that we’re in control? Let’s hope not.

Jumpasaurs’ 5×5 grid only takes up a tiny slice of the display. Under each reel sits a pipe, plus a dinosaur that shows whether that reel is active or not. Wins are checked across 19 paylines, with combinations paying left to right starting from the leftmost reel. With a rating of 4 out of 5 for volatility, Jumpasaurs comes with two RTP versions, and 96.29% is the one you’ll want. Betting runs from $/€0.10 while the highest is $/€100.
The paytable is filled with familiar pixel-style icons: grapes, cherries, lemons, oranges, and apples as the low-value symbols, paying 2x to 5x the stake for 5-of-a-kind, followed by clovers, horseshoes, bells, and sevens. Landing a 5 OAK line with the higher symbols returns 25x to 100x the stake.
Jumpasaurs!: Slot Features

Alongside the previously mentioned activated reels, Jumpasaurs also includes mystery symbols, wild multipliers, a free spins bonus round, and a feature buy.
Activated Reels & Mystery Symbols
On every base game spin, 1 to 3 reels will be activated. Active reels are highlighted by a dinosaur shown at the bottom of the reel. When a mystery symbol lands on an activated reel, it can reveal up to 10 Coins, a wild, a wild multiplier, or a scatter. Bronze coins pay 1x-8x, silver coins pay 10x-50x, and gold coins pay 100x. Once coins are revealed, they award the bet multiplier value displayed. Only one mystery symbol can appear on any reel.
Wilds & Wild Multipliers
A mystery symbol that becomes unlocked may turn into a wild symbol or a wild multiplier. Wilds and wild multipliers replace all symbols except mystery symbols, coins or scatters. Wilds may carry a multiplier of x2 to x20. If more than one wild multiplier contributes to the same win, their values are added together before the total multiplier is applied. When 5 wilds form a winning line, the prize is 150x the stake.
Extinction Spins
If a single scatter is revealed in the base game, it triggers 8 free spins. Extinction Spins use the same core mechanics as the base game, but all reels are activated, meaning every mystery symbol will be collected. When a mystery symbol reveals a scatter, +2 free spins are added.
Feature Buy
There’s one choice in the feature buy menu: an Extinction Spins trigger priced at 100x the bet.

Jumpasaurs!: Slot Verdict
It’s only the second slot so far, but Jinx Gaming’s style is already becoming clearer. As noted, the studio seems to have gamers on the team who genuinely love the classics. The 8-bit look isn’t just a surface-level trick—it’s central to what Jumpasaurs is, and it’s the hook that draws people in. The audiovisual approach is handled well, giving the game a strong Super Mario vibe (though not pushed as far as Super Waldo), with pipes, mushrooms, Yoshi-like dinos, and the jump-to-activate effect combining into a charming little 8-bit world.
Do the features have enough depth to keep players engaged over time? That’s slightly up in the air, though the mechanics can still be entertaining. The base game is somewhat restrained because only 1-3 reels can be activated per spin, which reduces the odds of getting mystery symbols to land. Still, the mystery symbol concept works nicely with the platformer theme—hit one and you might get anything, from coins to scatters to wilds/wild multipliers, even if the dinos seemed oddly good at dodging reels with mystery symbols in the base game. Extinction Spins change the dynamic since every reel stays active, giving Jumpasaurs more room to breathe.
As expected, the 10,000x max win can only be reached during Extinction Spins, making that the key stage to hit. Jumpasaurs may rely more on charm than raw firepower, but for anyone who’s nostalgic for 8-bit platformers, it’s an easy slot to like. Put another way, it’s not a ruthless win-machine—it’s a personality slot. And for some players, that’s plenty.
