Where in the world have you been Thunderkick?
From our point of view, Wild Heist at Peacock Mansion was a real triumph, and ever since it launched we’ve been eagerly waiting for Thunderkick to drop something new. Right before summer arrived, Thunderkick threw us off with Yeti Battle of Greenhat Peak, a Christmas-themed low variance pile of rubbish, and then they went quiet and vanished completely.
Week after week, we flooded the Thunderkick inbox with desperate messages just hoping for any sign they were still around, but nothing came back. While Thunderkick seemed to be enjoying Sangrias and wandering the All Inclusive buffet, every other provider looked busier than ever.
Patience pays off, and at last—months later—we finally got word of a fresh, shiny Thunderkick online slot called Jaguar Temple! Hooray!
Jaguar Temple introduction
Jaguar Temple is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 20 pay lines. The math model gives the casino a 3.9% advantage over players (96.1% RTP), which is solid by modern standards. Like most Thunderkick slots, there are 14 fixed stake options, starting at €0.10 and going up to €100 for high-rollers.
Its main highlights are a bonus game with expanding wilds and a huge 3×3 Jaguar symbol. The originality level is fairly modest, with a layout and feature set we’ve seen many times before—just a few weeks earlier Microgaming even launched its own feline-themed slot, Exotic Cats, which also uses expanding wilds. Funny timing.
In terms of presentation, the game drops you into an Incan temple where the golden Jaguar’s treasures are waiting. A sunset sky sprinkled with twinkling stars sits behind the reels, and the whole thing carries that unmistakable Thunderkick vibe. Massive stone-carved cat claws frame the reels, and the symbols themselves appear etched onto rocks.
Jaguar Temple symbols
On the reels you’ll find low-value card symbols—clubs, hearts, diamonds, and spades—alongside five higher-paying icons shown as Incan birds, dogs, rabbits, fish, and golden jaguars. The golden jaguar is the top payer, awarding 50 times your bet for five on a pay line.
The jaguar usually shows up as a standard 1×1 symbol, but it can also appear as a 3×3 symbol that can cover all three middle reels. This jumbo jaguar can land at random in both the base game and the bonus, though it shows up more often during the bonus.
The wild substitutes for every symbol except the scatter, and it becomes especially important in the bonus, as you’ll see.
Jaguar Temple Free Spins

3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols anywhere on the reels will award you 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. During the bonus, landing another 2, 3, 4 or 5 scatters grants 3, 10, 15, or 20 additional free spins.
Once you enter the free spins round, you gain two advantages: expanding wilds and jumbo jaguar blocks appearing more often. In this slot, wilds only appear on the three middle reels, and when one lands during free spins it expands to fill the entire reel. In theory, you can hit 3 wild reels and pair them with jaguar symbols on the outer reels to reach the max win of 1000x on a single spin. Notably, Jaguar Temple has an overall cap of 2045x, which is the maximum you can cash out with.
Jaguar Temple: Verdict
Jaguar Temple has most of what it needs to be a popular slot—except for one key issue: the potential. While researching the game, we found a website claiming the 2045x max win potential is calculated per single spin, which is incorrect, and would imply a theoretical max potential of 80,000x if someone triggered all 40 free spins.
It’s hard to understand why a slot that can pay 1000x on a single spin would be capped at 2045x (and why that exact figure?), especially given how many free spins it can potentially hand out. It would be genuinely useful if Thunderkick themselves could clarify.
Like all Thunderkick slots, it plays smoothly and feels polished, both in mechanics and visuals. It also supports fast stop spins, so be careful if you’re prone to slipping into tilt mode.
Jaguar Temple is a reasonably balanced medium variance slot that should keep casual players entertained, and maybe even the occasional high-roller. Hardcore players, however, may find it tough to stay engaged with a slot that offers such limited upside.
