Holy Heist: Slot Overview
Long before he was known as Hagrid, the beloved Keeper of Keys and Grounds in the Harry Potter films, Robbie Coltrane appeared in the comedy crime movie ‘Nuns on the Run’. In it, two crooks trying to get out of the life go on the run from their former boss, the Triad, and the police by disguising themselves as nuns in a convent. That same basic idea feeds into Hacksaw Gaming partner Bullshark Games‘ online slot Holy Heist. Only here, Bullshark Games twists the premise: the criminals dress as nuns first so they can rob a bank, moustaches and beards on full display; what could possibly go wrong?
Holy Heist takes place in a bright, cartoony little town, with the base game grid built into the side of a bank in a charming square, framed by equally charming buildings. With no trash around and no other people to be seen, the whole thing has a spotless, almost clinical vibe—like the kind of place that’s impeccably managed, even if it feels a touch strict, though we won’t start naming countries. Visually, Holy Heist is nicely put together, and the audio matches it well, creating a smooth backdrop for a bit of light-hearted bank robbery.

On the mechanics side, the game uses a 5×4 grid with 14 paylines and a multiplier bar positioned across the top. Wins can form with 3 to 5 matching symbols, and all standard payouts must start from the leftmost reel. In a bold move, Holy Heist is Bullshark Games’ biggest potential slot so far, while keeping volatility at a medium (3/5) setting. There are two RTP versions available, with the default set to 96.24%, and stakes run from 10 c to £/€100 per paid spin.
Holy Heist’s symbol set combines loot-themed items with card royals. The lower-value symbols are the Ten through Ace ranks, while the higher-value icons include a grappling hook, banknotes, a bag of cash, gold bars, and a diamond. A 5-of-a-kind line of low symbols returns 2 times the bet, while 5 matching high symbols pay 5 to 10 times the bet. Players will also come across multiple wild types, all of which can replace any standard paying symbol.
Holy Heist: Slot Features

In Holy Heist, it’s all about multiplying—driven by wild symbols that can also stick to trigger respins or expand across a reel. The feature set is completed by five bonus buy choices, and the game includes both the base gameplay and a dedicated bonus round.
Reel Multipliers
A multiplier bar is placed above the reels, assigning one multiplier to each column. The starting multipliers are x2, x2, x3, x3, and x5. Whenever a wild symbol displays a number, the corresponding multiplier shown above that reel is added to the total win multiplier. The total multiplier is then applied to all wins. If more than one wild shows a number, all multipliers from the relevant reels are combined and added to the total win multiplier.
Wild Symbol
When a wild symbol appears, it takes on one of the following forms:
- A number of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 – the multiplier on top of the wild’s reel position is added to the total win multiplier, and all wins are multiplied by the total win multiplier.
- Sticky Wild – awards one respin and remains sticky for that respin. If another wild lands during the respin and turns into a sticky wild again, an additional respin is granted. During respins, all reel multiplier values progress.
- Expanding Wilds – turns the full reel wild for that spin.
- Regular Wild – replaces all symbols on the paytable. A 5 wild line pays 10x the bet.
Multiplier Adders
The purple multiplier adder symbol increases the multiplier on top of the reel it landed on by a random value. The red multiplier adder symbol boosts the multiplier of all reels by a value. Adder values can range from 2x to 100x.
Holy Heist Spins
Trigger the feature by landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters, which awards 6, 8, or 10 free spins, respectively. When free spins begin, each scatter generates a random multiplier that is added to the multiplier above the reel where it landed. These values can be 2x to 100x. Throughout the free spins feature, reel multipliers progressively increase until the round ends. Sticky wilds also remain in place until the feature finishes. Every scatter that lands during the round grants +1 spin.
Bonus Buy
Holy Heist includes 5 bonus buy options:
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins – 3x the bet, each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger free spins. Highly volatile, RTP 96.33%.
- Holy FeatureSpins – 20x the bet, each spin guarantees at least 2 wild symbols. Highly volatile, RTP 96.32%.
- Holiest FeatureSpins – 50x the bet, each spin guarantees at least 4 wild symbols. Highly volatile, RTP 96.35%.
- Holy Heist Spins – 100x the bet for 6-8 free spins. Very highly volatile, RTP 96.26%.
- Extreme Holy Heist Spins – 200x the bet for 10 free spins. Very highly volatile, RTP 96.4%.

Holy Heist: Slot Verdict
All in all, that landed nicely. Holy Heist is an entertaining slot that blends goofy humour with genuinely serious numbers and solid gameplay. One key detail is that the total multiplier resets before every new spin, including during free spins. Also, reel multiplier values only contribute to the total multiplier for that spin when a wild symbol reveals a number on the relevant reel. It can look like the total multiplier builds up and carries through the free spins feature, but that isn’t how it works. Even so, the reel multipliers can be extremely impactful in practice. Not that they always will be, of course, but test play often produced unexpectedly strong results. Holy Heist can be surprisingly generous in general, at least in terms of potential, and its 20,000x the bet win cap is higher than what you typically see across the wider Hacksaw Gaming catalogue. Bullshark Games clearly isn’t content to remain in its partner studio’s big, looming shadow and seems determined to carve out a larger reputation.
After spending time with Holy Heist, it’s hard not to feel Bullshark Games is moving in the right direction. Not that it wasn’t already, but this is a notably refined release that hits almost every mark—it looks sharp, runs smoothly, and dangles a hefty chunk of win potential as extra motivation. Some purists may turn their nose up at the medium volatility, but beyond that, there’s little that stands out as a real weakness. Others might argue the heist theme has been done to death, yet the studio avoids the usual cookie-cutter vibe by swapping the standard striped-shirt villain for bearded robbers in nun outfits. Bottom line: with Holy Heist, Bullshark Games has delivered a slick, enjoyable, and potentially very rewarding heist slot.
