This mode starts with 10 free spins, and Dragon symbols are added to reels 1-6. Any time a dragon symbol is destroyed by a modifier or by an Avalanche, it awards an extra free spin. When the feature ends, players pick a hero and begin the hunt again from the start.

Fantasma deserves credit for continuing their offbeat approach to Megaways. You can still sense echoes of the previous two releases, but here it’s delivered in a clearer, more enjoyable way. It’s evident the studio invested serious effort into making better use of the Big Time Gaming license this time. Megaways is still the foundation, of course, yet the overall experience feels so new that you might not even clock it immediately if you didn’t already know. Heroes Hunt captures the vibe of roleplaying games without burying players under endless tasks and stat management. The focus stays where it should: spinning for wins, not rescuing the kingdom from a crazed army of orcs.

If you usually dislike slots that require collecting items to access features, this one shouldn’t worry you—it doesn’t feel like a painful grind. In testing, heroes unlocked at a sensible pace, and keys followed without too much delay. Waiting it out can be worthwhile as well, since the bonus has the potential to become truly wild. The three modifiers are naturally strongest when combined, and free spins can stack up, keeping the feature running longer.

Dragon Spins are clearly the main money-maker, and in terms of maximum rewards, wins up to 26,000 times the stake are theoretically on the table. Results close to that are most likely late in the journey, once heroes are unlocked, keys are collected, and Dragon Spins are fully in motion. When it all clicks, the bonus round can be spectacular, with blasts, arrows, and expanding wild reels flying in from every direction. Still, it’s worth noting the slot is highly volatile, and reaching the next stage doesn’t mean free spins will necessarily arrive quickly.

Like many titles, it isn’t without irritations. For instance, it can be mildly annoying having to sit through full modifier animations even when it’s immediately clear they won’t connect.
