That’s not due to the visuals, audio, or overall lively tone. On those fronts, Gonzita’s Quest is just as energetic and polished as the titles that came before it. Gonzita has attitude and clearly loves striking treasure. Which is why it’s even more surprising that the overall rewards in Gonzita’s Quest feel somewhat modest in the wider context. With a top payout of 2,580x the bet, we anticipated a higher ceiling. A key reason is the somewhat underpowered hold and win-style bonus round. If you don’t reach Diamond Slabs, it can be difficult to collect enough value to put together a standout win.
