Gold Mine Stacks 2: Slot Overview
Ever been in a chat with someone—maybe a debate or even a full-on argument—only to think of the perfect comeback later that day, when the other person is already nowhere to be found? At that point, you either save it for next time or call them up immediately to show off. Software provider Nailed It! Games seems to have gone with the second option. That idea popped up after the Polish studio launched Gold Mine Stacks (2022) and then followed it up fairly quickly with Gold Mine Stacks 2. The two titles aren’t worlds apart, but there are still some notable tweaks; let’s dig in.
That means putting on a trusty (metaphorical) miner’s helmet and heading underground to see what Gold Mine Stacks 2 is all about. Luckily, mining slots are everywhere, so most players will feel right at home. The base game is set outside a snow-dusted mine entrance, before the action shifts deeper underground for the hold ‘n win bonus round—which, oddly enough, is snowy too. Maybe it was freezing in Poland when the team built it. Either way, a bit of visual contrast is no bad thing when you’re swinging a pickaxe.

Down in the shaft sits a ‘Very High’ volatile math model, offering operators four RTP configurations – starting at 96.07% and going lower. On the top setting, hits have a frequency of 44.71%, paid when three to five matching symbols land on one of the 20 paylines running across the 5×3 game grid. The game works across devices, and players can choose stakes from 20 p/c up to $/€40 per paid spin.
The symbol set in Gold Mine Stacks 2 is fairly straightforward, though it does the job. At the lower end are metallic J-A card ranks, paying two times the stake for five on a payline. Above those are four premium gem symbols, returning 8 to 20 times the bet for a five-of-a-kind line win. Wilds match the payout of the top gem symbol and can land on all five reels. Along with forming wins themselves, wilds substitute for every symbol except the bonus symbol.
Gold Mine Stacks 2: Slot Features

On top of that, wild symbols can land stacked. When a stack of three wilds appears, it triggers a Wild Stack Respin. During the respin, the wild stack is locked in place while the remaining reels spin again. Additional respins continue to be awarded until no complete wild stack lands on the screen.
Gold Mine Stacks Bonus
Hitting 3 or more bonus symbols in the base game activates the Gold Mine Stacks Bonus round. The bonus symbols that trigger it become sticky for the feature, where only bonus symbols or blank spaces can land. Shown above the game grid are bonus prizes that can appear on bonus symbols. The feature begins at Level 1 and may advance up to Level 16. As levels increase, the bonus prizes displayed above the grid increases as well. On Level 1, prizes range from 1 to 20 times the bet; by Level 15, they range from 15 to 300x the bet. If Level 16 is reached, the max win is awarded. Levelling up occurs when an entire reel is filled with bonus symbols. When that happens, players move up a level and the grid is cleared of bonus symbols.
Before the feature starts, a two-reel Randomizer spins. The left reel lands either one of the prize values or a safe, while the second reel lands a multiplier up to x20. Any time the selected prize value appears on a bonus symbol, it is multiplied by the awarded multiplier. If the safe lands, the multiplier is applied to all prize values.
Players start with 3 spins, and landing new symbols reset the spin counter. The round ends when spins are used up or when Level 16 is reached. That said, before the feature begins, players may be offered a gamble for Super-lives via a segmented wheel. Winning spins grant a Super-life (up to 2 max); losing spins ends the bonus round. Note, however, that triggering the feature with 4 or 5 bonus symbols in the base game automatically awards 1 or 2 Super-lives, respectively.
Bonus Bet & Buy Bonus
Depending on the market, these options may or may not be included. Where available, enabling the Bonus Bet doubles the chance of triggering the Gold Mine Stacks Bonus, while also increasing the bet by 25%. For instant entry, the Gold Mine Stacks Bonus can be purchased for 100x the bet or for 250x the bet; players can get the Gold Mine Stacks Bonus with the Safe symbol on The Randomizer.

Gold Mine Stacks 2: Slot Verdict
That ended up being a genuinely nice surprise. Without having played a Nailed It! Games title before, Gold Mine Stacks 2 came across as stronger than anticipated. At first glance it looks modest and a bit plain, so expectations leaned toward an average base game and a standard hold ‘n win bonus. With no special symbols inside the bonus, it didn’t seem like it was aiming to compete with something like Relax Gaming’s Money Train series, the crème de la crème of hold ‘n win gaming. Instead, Nailed It! Games has taken a different route: the core idea stays simple, the mechanics get a little intricate in the details, and the overall playability is turned up surprisingly high.
The base game also has a solid rhythm, helped by the fairly high hit rate and how often Wild Stack Respins show up. Nailed It! Games is completely clear that stacking the reels with wilds would result in the base game’s max win of 400x the bet. It’s not jaw-dropping, but stack it against the bonus round where a huge 50,000x the bet is theoretically available. To get there, you need to reach Level 16, which is obviously not going to be effortless. Even pushing into the middle levels may require serious persistence. Still, the attempt is genuinely entertaining—more so than you might expect from a hold ‘n win round that doesn’t rely on special symbols. The provider makes bold statements about the advertised max win potential, and whether it’s truly attainable remains an open question. It’s also a little disappointing that no max win frequency data is provided for transparency.
The Randomizer, the multiplier, and the escalating Bonus Prize values all add to the experience, and the end result is a pretty smart package. The enormous top prize is a big part of Gold Mine Stacks 2’s pull too, of course, but even without that headline potential, the rest of the game would still be worth a couple of sneaky spins.
