Eye of the Panda: Slot Overview
Most of us know the whole ‘Eye of the Tiger’ thing thanks to Survivor’s Rocky III anthem, but Eye of the Panda? Probably not—until now. Eye of the Panda is an online slot from developer Hacksaw Gaming that swaps big cats for their calmer panda counterparts. That said, because it’s a Hacksaw Gaming slot, “calm” isn’t really the expectation, with the game pulling off plenty of clever moves involving wilds, wild multipliers, and jumping wild multipliers.
Eye of the Panda arrives with that familiar Hacksaw Gaming look, mixing muted monochrome tones with sharp neon bursts, much like Chaos Crew and Chaos Crew 2, RIP City, and Break Bones. Staying on-brand, there’s a moody panda character posted beside the grid with arms folded, occasionally stuffing its face with fast food. The overall style is oddly magnetic, and credit is due to the soundtrack too—the Asian-tinged electronica really helps ramp up the intensity when the action kicks off.

To play Eye of the Panda, you choose a stake from 10 c to $/€100 per spin, and there are four selections offered in the feature buy menu. Rated as a medium volatile slot (3 out of 5), it comes with a default RTP of 96.26%, with small variations depending on which bought feature is used. In both the base game and the bonus, play takes place on a 5×5 grid with 27 paylines, paying left to right starting from the first reel.
The pay symbols include 10 to A card royals alongside junk food icons like ice cream, bubble tea, doughnuts, fries, and hamburgers. A 5-of-a-kind royal combination returns 1 times the bet, while a 5-picture symbol hit pays 5 to 10 times the bet. The wild is your panda buddy, which substitutes for all pay symbols and awards 10x the bet for landing 5 wilds.
Eye of the Panda: Slot Features

On the feature front, Eye of the Panda packs super cascades, Wild Panda Multipliers, Never Say No to Panda! Bonus, Jumping Panda Bonus, plus buy bonuses.
Super Cascade
Super Cascades remove all instances of any winning symbol types from the reels, then fresh symbols fall in to cover the empty spaces.
Wild Panda Multipliers
In addition to acting as wilds, when Wild Pandas land they arrive with a multiplier of x2, x3, x4, x5, or x10. Wild Panda Multipliers apply their value to any wins they are involved in, and if multiple Wild Pandas contribute to the same win, their multipliers are multiplied together before being applied. Any Wild Panda Multipliers that land stay persistent during the round until they are part of a win. Once a Wild Panda helps form a win, it gets removed in the cascade along with the winning symbols.
Never Say No To Panda!
Hitting 3 FS scatters in the base game activates 10 free spins for this round. If a Wild Panda symbol doesn’t take part in a win, it is saved in one of the 5 Panda Collector spaces. When all spaces are filled, additional Wild Pandas can’t be stored. When a win happens, the saved Wild Pandas jump to random positions in the winning combination, adding their multipliers to any wins they join. Only as many Wild Pandas as can fit into existing wins will leap from the Panda Collector onto the reels. Because Pandas are wild, their jumps can also create extra wins. On the last spin, any saved Wild Pandas that never became part of a win jump to random reel positions.
Jumping Panda Bonus
Landing 4 FS scatters in the base game grants 10 free spins in this feature. Here, the first 5 Wild Pandas that land become sticky and remain on the reels till the feature ends. Sticky Wild Pandas jump to new random positions on every free spin and cascade, and each jump assigns them a fresh multiplier value.
Bonus Buy
Inside the feature buy menu, you can pick from the following:
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins – 3x the bet, each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus game. Highly volatile with an RTP of 96.34%
- Panda-licious FeatureSpins – 50x the bet, each spin guarantees at least 5 Panda symbols land. Highly volatile with an RTP of 96.28%.
- Never Say No To Panda! – 100x the bet, highly volatile, with an RTP of 96.27%.
- Jumping Pandas – 200x the bet, very highly volatile with an RTP of 96.33%.

Eye of the Panda: Slot Verdict
Eye of the Panda delivered a full-on emotional ride from beginning to end. Initially, seeing wild multipliers listed on the paytable felt like standard Hacksaw Gaming territory. Then the first bonus round took a different turn with its collection mechanic, before the second bonus swung back toward familiar Jammin’ Jars vibes. This blend of fresh and familiar ideas could have stood out more if the presentation wasn’t so slick. The visuals, as noted, are peak Hacksaw Gaming—dropping players into an urban jungle where treasures might be tucked away in side streets, inhabited by effortlessly cool characters who have their own way of surviving the grind, maybe a bit wary of strangers at first, but ready to welcome the right people into their world. Hopefully that landed as intended.
Much like in the Chaos Crew 2 review, BonusHunt Feature spins proved more engaging than standard spins, with bonus rounds triggering at a clearly higher rate. And it wasn’t only the 3 scatter Never Say No To Panda! round—there were also surprise hits of the 4 FS scatter Jumping Pandas feature. Or Jammin’ Pandas, if you prefer, since it unfolds in a way that’s reminiscent of Push Gaming’s iconic jar slot. Even with that “inspiration,” it’s tough to argue against roaming multiplier wilds that can multiply each other within the same win. It creates those moments where an ordinary spin can suddenly turn into something big when Wild Pandas hop into exactly the right place. The other bonus round holds up as well. Some players may see it as a lead-in to the main attraction, but banking wild multipliers for later feels stronger because when Wild Pandas are added to the reels, they’re placed straight onto an existing win rather than being tossed in and left to chance.
To finish, Eye of the Panda offers a 10,000x the bet max win, available in any part of the game. Eye of the Panda may not end up as one of Hacksaw Gaming’s all-time classics—it didn’t quite give off that energy—but it does underline a studio that’s producing some of the strongest slots around, whether built from original concepts, borrowed ideas, or a mix of both, like a restaurant where you can assemble your own rice bowl.
