At the beginning of each spin, up to 6 wild symbols land in random spots in the Element Area and then move clockwise after a successful avalanche. This also raises the matching Element Meter by +1, and once the avalanche sequence finishes, the activated elemental wilds resolve in a set order;

• Fire Wild randomly adds 2 to 10 wild symbols to the Play Area for a new win evaluation, which may kick off a new avalanche sequence.
• X Flood transforms 9 symbols in an X shape on the Play Area into the same symbol. It’s possible for 2 X Floods to trigger on a single spin, creating 2 x shaped patterns to increase the chance of creating winning clusters.
• Demolition picks 1 low pay symbol at random. All instances of this symbol type are removed from the play area, triggering a new cascade. Up to 4 symbols can be removed from one Demolition.
• Tornado chooses 1 symbol at random and 8 symbols adjacent to this one are either turned into the chosen type or are removed. Tornados can trigger twice.

If you succeed in activating all 4 Element Wild symbols during one spin sequence, you earn 5 free spins, plus 1 free spin for the total amount of  Element Wild symbols activated in the base game spin. During free spins, each avalanche increases a win multiplier by +1, up to a maximum of x99. The bonus can also be prolonged, because activating all 4 Element Wilds will retrigger the feature—there’s no cap on retriggers.

Finally, players who want immediate access to the bonus can use the feature buy option. Costing 60 times the bet, it initiates a spin that is guaranteed to trigger free spins.

Elemento: Slot Verdict

There aren’t many obvious weaknesses here, though a couple can be spotted if you’re determined. The visuals, for instance, are likely to split opinion—some players will enjoy the cute characters and neon-style palette, while others may see it as a somewhat bland Reactoonz imitation. The test panel leaned positive overall, but it wasn’t a universal hit. Another drawback is that the pace can feel frustratingly slow, as spin sequences may take a while to finish. It’s not unusual to sit through 10 seconds of animations for something like a 0.5x return.

Even so, Fantasma’s debut grid slot delivers the essentials fans of the format look for, from the effective cluster pays/avalanche pairing, to its set of modifiers, to free spins multipliers. Add in strong potential, and you end up with a very enjoyable grid slot.

For anyone who prefers to dive straight into the action, Elemento’s feature buy is an appealing shortcut to the game’s standout moments. It’s fairly priced for this type of option, and it doesn’t simply drop you directly into free spins, which is a nice touch. Instead, you play through an extended sequence of cluster wins to activate all Elemental Wilds. Along the way, it’s possible to rack up a healthy number of free spins and also build a decent win before the feature even properly begins. That brings us to potential, where Elemento performs again, with wins reaching up to 16,000 times your stake.

If you really want to be picky, you could argue Elemento isn’t a game-changer. Still, that’s hardly a problem when the rest of the package is put together so smoothly.
