Clusterbuster

A 3×3 sized cluster of inactive locked tiles sits in the middle of the grid. The outer tiles of the inactive cluster unlock when winning clusters land adjacent to them. Once every outer tile is broken, the cluster opens and awards its prize. Any broken sections reset when a new spin begins.

Ancient Orbs Progress

Each of the slot’s orb modifiers is shown as an orb above the grid. At the start of a session, all orbs except the green one are locked. Releasing a scarab from the 3×3 Clusterbuster unlocks the next modifier in sequence. When a modifier is newly unlocked, it activates on the following spin. During that spin, no additional modifier can be unlocked, and once it ends, the next scarab is sealed inside the Clusterbuster, ready to be released the same way. Egypt Clusterbuster: Slot Verdict

For a cluster-pays game built on such a massive grid, few playfields feel as large as those found in Red Tiger’s Clusterbuster range. That said, 9 spots are taken up by the Clusterbuster block, reducing the available space that could otherwise help form wins. Still, in the base game, this “busting” approach follows a familiar Red Tiger pattern and has done for quite some time—at least since Red Tiger released Thor’s Lightning long ago, possibly even earlier. While that title shares elements, it isn’t officially part of the Clusterbuster series. As with Blobsters Clusterbuster and Dragons Clusterbuster, Egypt Clusterbuster also uses an unlock system for features. Red Tiger leans on this method often; it can build anticipation as you clear the Clusterbuster’s outer tiles, though some players may not want to wait for features to open up.

Typically, unlocking doesn’t take an especially long time, although nothing is guaranteed. Once opened, the features remain available permanently (tied to bet levels), meaning they can trigger whenever they choose. The Ancient Orb effects are solid. You begin with a 3×3 pay symbol, then move on to 3×3 wilds, which can potentially connect a large number of clusters—particularly if 3 land together. After that, the Orbs improve further, shifting from wilds that spread across the grid to adding a multiplier not only to the 3×3 Super Wilds but also to the wilds that flutter into other positions. The flying wilds were a genuinely enjoyable touch.

Egypt Clusterbuster doesn’t match the previous CB release, Year-Round Riches, for overall win potential, but it can still deliver prizes up to 6656.7x the bet, so it’s hardly lacking in the maximum payout department. What it can’t really claim is a fresh or inventive theme, as it’s another standard Ancient Egyptian slot. Even so, the setting remains popular and the gameplay is decent, so cluster-busting tomb raiders may still find a few entertaining moments here.
