Dragon’s Fire Megaways (Red Tiger): Verdict

At first, we were genuinely excited to see a Megaways edition of Dragon’s Fire, since it’s widely considered one of Red Tiger’s best. Megaways plus a fire-breathing dragon sounds like a guaranteed win, right? But after comparing both versions directly, some choices here feel hard to justify.

To start, it’s a letdown that both games share the same win potential, especially because Megaways usually pushes the ceiling higher. It makes you question why you’d need all those extra thousands of paylines if the fixed 20 can deliver the same headline result. Sure, the Megaways format and cascading reels can stretch sessions out, but still. Then there’s the RTP. For whatever reason, the Megaways version comes in slightly below the original, which is even harder to explain than the first issue and could be a total deal-breaker for informed players, even if the gap is small.

We really wanted to love Dragon’s Fire Megaways, but it’s difficult to overlook these “issues,” honestly. For pure fun factor, Dragon’s Fire Megaways arguably wins, no question, yet overall it ends up feeling like a missed chance, unfortunately.
