DJ Fox: Slot Overview
If animals could somehow take on human-style jobs, it’s easy to picture ice-cool foxes dropping tracks in a club, getting the crowd moving, and looking effortlessly exclusive behind the decks. If that image isn’t coming together for you, DJ Fox from software provider Push Gaming should make it a lot easier to imagine. DJ Fox follows on from Generous Jack, which you might remember as Push Gaming’s first Push-Up release, built around the inventive Win What You See mechanic. Where Generous Jack leaned into a smooth, classy vibe, DJ Fox is about letting players cut loose on the dancefloor — and the theme shift isn’t the only thing that’s different.
The theme is a major part of it, though. While Generous Jack relaxed in a cosy, 1920s-ish speakeasy setting, DJ Fox goes full club mode with towering speaker stacks pumping bass heavy enough to rattle a raver’s insides if they danced too close for too long. DJ Fox is up in the top-right corner, fully in the zone, and anyone wearing shades indoors at night is clearly taking things seriously. Audiovisually, DJ Fox is worlds apart from Generous Jack — which helps highlight how differently the two slots actually play.

Another change comes in the grid setup. DJ Fox uses 5-rows, each made up of a stack with 3 positions. Before each spin, players can activate 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 rows — and the more rows you switch on, the higher the stake becomes. The default is 1 active row with a default RTP of 96.28%, and stakes run from 10 c to $/€100 per spin. Using the Push-Up menu, players can activate extra rows:
- 2 active rows costs 2.5x the bet. RTP is 96.42%.
- 3 active rows costs 5x the bet. RTP is 96.21%.
- 4 active rows costs 7.5x the bet. RTP is 96.36%.
- 5 active rows costs 10x the bet. RTP is 96.31%.
With Push-Up enabled, wins are calculated against the base bet rather than the Push-Up total. Push Gaming also notes that DJ Fox is a less volatile journey than Generous Jack, although the volatility still sits at a high level. Hit spin and the whole grid rotates. Each reel position can land valueless Duds, record symbols showing a number of 00 to 9, or VIP symbols. Only symbols that land on active rows are counted, and you Win What You See divided by 10. For example, if dud-1-dud lands on an active row, the payout is 0.1x the bet. If dud-9-9 lands on an active row, it pays 9.9x the bet, while 7-dud-7 on an active row returns 1.4x.
DJ Fox: Slot Features

DJ Fox doesn’t overload you with features, but it does include a VIP symbol that can expand the action via respins, a Multiplier meter, and a Meter Lock.
VIP Symbols
Whenever a VIP symbol lands on an active reel, the next locked row becomes active and a respin is granted. The VIP symbol is collected into the Multiplier meter, which removes it from the grid. When a new row is activated, any VIP symbols sitting on that newly active row are also collected by the Multiplier meter. During respins, any positions showing dud symbols spin again, while Number symbols stay locked in place. Once the respins finish, all active rows are assessed for wins.
Multiplier Meter
To unlock win multipliers, segments of the Multiplier meter need to be filled. As VIP symbols are collected, the lowest available segments on the meter are filled up. When the spin ends, the total win is multiplied by the highlighted value on the Multiplier meter. At the beginning of a new round, every position on the Multiplier meter resets to inactive.
Meter Lock
Meter Lock is a random event that locks progress on the Multiplier meter for the next spin. It can only occur at the end of a round in which VIP symbols have been added to the Multiplier meter. Any unlocked rows and meter positions are carried over and held for the next paid spin. Meter Lock is linked to the chosen bet level, meaning meter positions switch back to inactive if the player changes the bet or activates Push-Up.

DJ Fox: Slot Verdict
Just like Generous Jack felt unlike most other slots, DJ Fox also plays to its own rhythm — only this time it isn’t quite as feature-packed. Most notably, there’s no free spins bonus round, although a couple of mechanics can extend the base-game moment, such as respins and the Meter Lock. This approach keeps DJ Fox quick and punchy, which players who like rapid gameplay may enjoy. It also suits the Win What You See philosophy the game is built around, even if it’s slightly funny that it’s technically Win What You See — divided by 10.
That small technical detail can make DJ Fox’s payouts feel underwhelming at first glance — especially if you haven’t fully checked the rules — even though, as a theoretical example, landing 1-0-0 actually returns 10x the bet. The game does communicate the divide by 10 rule clearly, including an on-screen display showing that a 1 = 0.1, but it’s still something players should keep in mind. Beyond that, DJ Fox delivers straightforward, funky Push-Up gameplay with a couple of added extras, with the VIP symbol being one of the most important. Landing VIP symbols is what activates extra rows, boosting the odds of hitting Number symbols and moving forward on the Multiplier Meter. Meter values begin at x2 and rise to x20. That x20 is particularly handy when trying to get close to DJ Fox’s 10,000x the bet max win.
Even though this and Generous Jack share some underlying concepts, they provide Push-Up fans with noticeably different styles of play. DJ Fox takes a slight hit thanks to the divide by 10 quirk, but it makes up for it with a more energetic theme and a faster, cleaner experience than its more reserved counterpart.
