Danger High Voltage 2: Slot Overview
Flashy, funky, disco-themed slots are everywhere, yet every so often one rises above the rest—and few did it as convincingly as Big Time Gaming’s Danger! High Voltage. It paired frantic music and bold visuals with a choice of two explosive bonus rounds once you got them going. Hard as it seems, Danger! High Voltage first arrived back in 2017, and 7 years later Big Time Gaming is stepping back onto the dance floor with Danger High Voltage 2.
A big part of the original’s appeal was its loud, party-at-the-edge-of-chaos disco attitude, driven by a high-octane soundtrack from American band Electric Six and a blinding light display. In Danger High Voltage 2, the thumping tracks return, and the presentation is arguably even more intense. The reels and the Megadozer sit inside a strange, piston-thumping machine, while the background’s visual overload could make anyone wary of heavy light shows. It’s all energy with a dash of danger—exactly the vibe the sequel needs to show off.

Once you’re ready to live dangerously, you can choose stakes from 20 c to $/€20, and there’s also a bonus buy available for anyone wanting to jump straight past the base game. This highly volatile title runs on BTG’s Megaways engine, so every spin can land 2 to 7 symbols on each of the 6 reels. Your ways to win shift with the symbol count, reaching a top of 117,649. The RTP is set at 96.66%, or 96.77% if you purchase free spins.
Day of the Dead meets disco—maybe that’s the easiest way to sum up the symbols in Danger High Voltage 2. You’ve got 9-A card ranks, a taco, a disco ball, a bell, plus a gem-studded skull reminiscent of Damien Hirst’s ‘For the Love of God’ (the one that reportedly sold for $100 million). Sadly, the payouts aren’t in that league: 6 matching royals pay 0.3 to 0.5 times the bet, while 6 matching premium symbols return 0.6 to 2.5 times the bet. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5, substituting for all symbols except scatters.
Any winning symbols (excluding scatters) are removed from the grid via the reaction feature, leaving empty spaces behind. The reels then cascade as symbols fall down and new ones drop in from above, giving you another shot at landing additional wins.
Danger High Voltage 2: Slot Features

Just like the first game, Danger High Voltage 2 gives you two pickable free spins modes when the bonus is triggered or purchased, though both options differ from what came before. And if you’re a fan of the Coin Dozer-style action, you’re in luck, because it ties into a lot of what happens here.
Megadozer
Much like in Bonanza Falls, a Coin Dozer sits above the reels and can drop one or more Bonus Coins on any spin, reactions included. During the base game, each Bonus Coin can reveal one of the following:
- The win multiplier for the current spin increases by +1. Each base game spin starts the win multiplier at x1.
- A scatter is added to the reels.
- A wild symbol which may have a multiplier of x2, x3, or x5 is added to the reels. All wins with a Multiplier Wild are multiplied by the displayed multiplier value.
Scatters
Get 3 or more scatters anywhere on the reels and you’ll trigger the bonus. At that point, you choose between Fire In The Disco! and Danger Danger!! free spins.

Fire In The Disco!
This option awards 6 free spins. Each Bonus Coin that drops from the Coin Dozer reveals either a wild that stays on the reels for the next two wins, or an extra free spin. Landing 2 or more scatters grants +2 extra free spins, plus 2 free spins for every scatter after the second. Scatters can only land on the far-left and far-right reels.
Danger Danger!!
Choose Danger Danger!! and you start with 12 free spins. Every Bonus Coin released by the Coin Dozer either places a wild with a multiplier equal to the Feature Wild Multiplier onto the reels, or increases the Feature Wild Multiplier by +1. The Feature Wild Multiplier begins at x2. Only Bonus Coins landing on reels 3 and 4 will create wilds. Hitting 3 or more scatters awards +2 extra free spins plus 2 free spins for each scatter beyond the third.
Bonus Buy
To buy your way into the bonus round, the price is 100 times the bet. After it starts, you can select whichever free spins mode you want.

Danger High Voltage 2: Slot Verdict
Danger! High Voltage was a slot that hit hard from beginning to end. It nailed that chaotic disco mood—like a house party about to spiral until the cops show up—and it backed it up with two bonus rounds, each thrilling in its own way. High Voltage spins brought that crazy up to x66 High Voltage Wild, while Gates of Hell delivered sticky wild symbols. Next to that, Danger High Voltage 2 can feel less unhinged, though when its features line up and really get going, it can still put on a show—assuming the stated 52,980x max win potential is accurate (and it’s worth noting we still haven’t seen a max win land on DHV, so treat those figures with some caution).
You’ll see flashes of what’s possible even in the base game when the Megadozer boosts the win multiplier or drops multiplier wilds onto the reels. The real headline act arrives in free spins, where players once again face the tough decision of which bonus to run. Visually, Fire In The Disco! seemed to throw more wilds into play than Danger Danger!!—which makes sense, since more reels can receive Bonus Coin wilds in Fire In The Disco! spins. On the other hand, Danger Danger!! brings the Feature Wild Multiplier, and that can be a serious advantage. As with the previous game, it’s a tricky call, with clear upsides and downsides on both sides.
Looking at the bigger picture, though, it’s not immediately clear that Danger High Voltage 2 will leave anything like the same mark as the original. Back then, the first game’s mechanics likely felt more shocking for the time. Since then, slots have evolved and escalated so much that it takes something truly extreme—almost obnoxious—to stand out. Danger High Voltage 2 doesn’t scream “obnoxiously extraordinary,” but it is a polished, entertaining sequel (even if it can feel a touch slower), and a perfectly good reason to break out the gold medallion and platform shoes for another night at the disco.
