Cluster Slide: Slot Overview
If there’s one thing the ELK team is known for, it’s experimenting with reel formats and the way symbols travel across them. The Gold series boosts rows and ways, while their gravity mechanics bring a physics-like feel to cascading symbols. That inventive streak comes through in Cluster Slide, which introduces a distinctive avalanche motion set in a charming, scrappy, alien locale.
Cluster Slides’ 7-column, 8-row grid takes place on a planet called Jellyton, where the symbols are mostly square monsters—some coated in jelly, others wrapped in fur. They’re also big on eating… each other. It’s a bizarre setting, sure, but also a good-looking one, with multiple planets hovering above the surface. It did make us wonder what happens when so many planetary bodies sit so close together. Would it all balance in a delicate cosmic stalemate, or would the gravity create massively destructive consequences?
Players can visit Jellyton on pretty much any device, with stakes ranging from 20 p/c to $/€100 per spin. The numbers are reassuring, beginning with a theoretical RTP of 96%. Volatility is high, and so is the upside, creating a punchy combination where a spin that looks ordinary can suddenly turn into something memorable.
The grid is a full-on colour burst, helped along by vivid pay symbols: 4 low-value jelly monsters in green, blue, yellow, and red, then the better-paying furry monsters in green, purple, orange, and red. They animate whenever they form a win and sometimes show a slightly cannibalistic side. The biggest premium clusters require 15+ symbols and pay 100 to 500 times your stake when they land. Cluster Slide is also packed with wild symbols, with the pink one acting as a standard wild that can appear anywhere, substituting for regular symbols to complete clusters.
Cluster Slide: Slot Features

Cluster Slide revolves around chaining wins to set off wild effects, multipliers, and bonus action. Whenever 5+ matching symbols connect for a win, the avalanche system clears them away, and fresh symbols either fall into the empty spaces or slide left to fill them. The grid’s slight angle enhances that sliding feel. This style of avalanching ramps up the tension as you try to picture where the next symbols might land and what they could connect with.
Every winning cluster helps fill the Generator meter at the top right of the grid. Once it’s full, it grants 1 of 5 Feature Wild symbols.
- Big – enlarges a random symbol into a 2×2 symbol.
- Random – turns 2-4 pay symbols into wilds.
- Multiplier – increase the win multiplier by +1.
- Upgrading – selects one symbol type and upgrades them into a higher value type.
- Removing – clears every symbol of one chosen type from the grid.
On top of that, Feature Wild symbols can also appear naturally, and if they’re part of a win, their effect activates. Collecting all 5 wild features during a single round adds +5 to the win multiplier.
Watch for the ‘B’ symbols. Hit 3 of them during a spin sequence and you’ll receive 3 Wild Drops. The first drop converts all bonus ‘B’ symbols currently on the grid into wilds, then places three 1×1 wilds. The second drop adds two 2×2 wilds, and the third drop drops a single 3×3 wild onto the grid. It’s a bit like the Gargantoon, only working the other way around.
If you’d rather not wait for the right moment, players may have the option to use the X-citer feature. Similar to Bompers, where it first appeared, the X-citer provides a selection of feature buy choices for players to pick from.
Cluster Slide: Slot Verdict
Cluster Slide is more proof of a studio that loves creating out-there slot experiences. If Nitropolis felt wild, Cluster Slide pushes the craziness even further. That said, Clusters Slide isn’t exactly a clean-slate idea, since it borrows heavily from Reactoonz—a grid slot with cute alien characters and comparable core mechanics. Still, Cluster Slide comes across as a modest evolution of what came before. Visually it feels more polished, the eight cannibal critters are just as full of character, and the overall stats are generally stronger.
Anyone who didn’t quite click with Reactoonz 2 should consider checking out what ELK has built here. Cluster Slide has the ingredients for a frantic grid slot that can erupt when the right cluster patterns fall into place. It’s absolutely a high-volatility creature, perfectly willing to chew through plenty of low-value drops before delivering the bigger moments. Along the way it can be a tease as well, repeatedly edging close to free drops before snapping back to reset.
Even so, sessions didn’t feel like a slog—oddball visuals and an excellent soundtrack create a lively, hyperactive atmosphere, and there’s nearly always some movement on the grid to keep things from going stale. The generator collection mechanic gives you a longer-term target, and having Feature Wilds appear organically rather than only when triggered is a welcome touch. It’s also a strong-paying title: when Cluster Slide really gets rolling, wins up to 10,000x the stake can happen.
In a lot of respects, Cluster Slide is what Reactoonz 2 arguably should have been. Even with the clear similarities to Play’n GO’s classic, ELK blends its new ideas into the consistently slick gameplay so effectively that you quickly stop comparing and simply go with the flow—or the slide, as it were.
