Chaos Crew 2: Slot Overview
The original Chaos Crew slot landed in 2020, blending Banksy-style artwork with a punk attitude and a strong set of mechanics that helped cement Hacksaw Gaming’s move from scratch card specialists to creators of some of the best slots around. If you’re a player who enjoys maximum mayhem on the reels, there’s good news: the studio has released a follow-up. Chaos Crew 2 brings back much of what made the first game memorable, while adding loads of fresh elements to make the experience larger and even more chaotic across the board.
The visuals have been tweaked, but Chaos Crew 2 still captures that distinctive vibe of lurking in a neon-graffiti back alley from the first title. Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull return too—appearing not only as special multiplier symbols on the reels, but also looming on either side of the grid in an intimidating pose. One looks like a bat-swinging street thug, the other like the Grim Reaper in a Hacksaw Gaming hoodie. The audio track carries a threatening edge as well—especially during slower moments. When the action ramps up, the music does too, switching from gloomy tones to a full-on dance-floor feel in an instant.

Like its predecessor, Chaos Crew 2 runs on a 5×5 sized gaming panel, but this time it comes with 19 fixed paylines instead of 15. It’s a highly volatile slot overall, although volatility can shift when you purchase features via the feature buy menu. RTP also changes when buying features, with the standard setting sitting at 96.27%. For staking, players can choose from 10 p/c to $/€100, although some casinos may allow a higher maximum bet.
Chaos Crew 2 introduces a new set of pay symbols—10 in total: a heart, a face, wings, an anarchy sign, an 8 ball, dice, a mouth, another face, diamonds, and an eyeballed pyramid. Wins are paid left to right starting from the leftmost reel, and a 5 OAK payout returns 2 to 10 times the bet.
Chaos Crew 2: Slot Features

Anyone familiar with how Chaos Crew plays should settle into Chaos Crew 2 quickly, since the core flow and feature style are much the same—there’s simply a lot more going on. This is how it works.
Epic Drop
This feature may trigger randomly at the start of any base game spin. If it activates, the game transitions to the bonus round and at least 5 multiplier symbols drop in from the bonus area to grant their multipliers. The following spin returns to standard play unless Epic Drop triggers again.
Cranky Cat
The Cranky Cat symbol acts as a wild multiplier, boosting any win it helps create. Multiple Cranky Cat symbols can land, contributing to the same win or separate wins. If more than one Cranky Cat is involved in a single win, their values multiply together before being applied. Cranky Cat multipliers can be x2-x5, x10, or x20. During the base game, one Cranky Cat may land per reel, and it substitutes for all pay symbols.
Bonus
Hitting 3 scatter symbols in the base game starts the bonus game. In the bonus round, only non-paying symbols and multiplier scatters can appear. You receive 3 spins, and these reset whenever a multiplier symbol hits. Each reel has a multiplier displayed above it that starts at x1. When multiplier symbols land, they increase reel multipliers, and when the feature ends, all reel multipliers are totalled and paid out. The multiplier symbols are:
- Sketchy Skull – adds its value to the reel multiplier above it.
- Sticky Sketchy Skull – locks to the grid and adds its value to the reel above it on every subsequent spin.
- Epic Sketchy Skull – adds its value to all reel multipliers.
- Sticky Epic Sketchy Skull – locks to the grid and adds its value to all reel multipliers on every subsequent spin.
- Cranky Cat – multiplies the reel multiplier above with its value.
- Sticky Cranky Cat – locks to the grid and multiplies the reel multiplier above with its value on every subsequent spin.
- Epic Cranky Cat – multiplies all reel multipliers with its value.
- Sticky Epic Cranky Cat – multiplies all reel multipliers with its value on every subsequent spin.
Sketchy Cat symbols can have values of 1x-5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, or 100x, while Cranky Cat can have values of x2-x5, x10, or x20.

Super Bonus
Landing 4 scatters in the base game triggers the Super Bonus round. Everything works the same as the standard bonus, except that on the opening spin at least 7 multiplier symbols are guaranteed to land.
Best of Bonus
If 3 scatters plus a Best of Bonus scatter symbol land in the base game, the Best of Bonus feature begins. It awards 3 bonus rounds consecutively, playing each one separately while tracking the outcome. After the third round, the best result from the three is paid.
Best of Super Bonus
When 4 scatters and a Best of Bonus scatter symbol hit in the base game, then the Best of Super Bonus feature triggers. This feature awards 3 super bonus rounds in a row, playing them all one at a time and recording the score of each. At the end of the third super bonus round, the best result of the three is awarded.
Buy Bonus
From the feature buy menu menu, players are able to buy any of the features previously covered:
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins – 5x the bet where each spin is 10 times more likely to trigger a bonus game. Volatility extreme where the default RTP is 96.22%.
- Epic Drop FeatureSpins – 200x the bet for an Epic Drop spin with at least 15 multiplier symbols. Highly volatile where the default RTP is 96.35%.
- Bonus – 100x the bet to buy the bonus round. Very highly volatile where the default RTP is 96.34%.
- Super Bonus – 250x the bet to buy the super bonus round. Very highly volatile, where the default RTP is 96.3%.
- Best of Bonus – 200x the bet to buy the best of bonus. Highly volatile where the default RTP is 96.29%.
- Best of Super Bonus – 500x the bet to buy the best of super bonus. Highly volatile where the default RTP is 96.35%.

Chaos Crew 2: Slot Verdict
With Chaos Crew 2, Hacksaw Gaming has clearly gone for a “bigger is better” mindset, piling on a hefty list of new additions. Most—if not all—of these extras should appeal to fans of the original, and also to players interested in unusual hold ‘n win-style slots. That said, you’ll want some tolerance for dead spins, because Chaos Crew 2 produced plenty of them, and the base game can feel like hard work at times. The Epic Drop feature did a surprisingly solid job of evening things out, though, so the wait for bonus triggers often felt more like staying afloat than being dragged under. Not every session plays that way, however, and Chaos Crew 2 can still chew through a bankroll when it feels like it. Results will differ, of course—just noting that Epic Drop is a strong base game addition that helped keep things engaging, and it felt like a meaningful portion of the base game RTP had been channelled into it. As an extra note, bonus rounds triggered far more frequently with BonusHunt FeatureSpins enabled—so much so that it almost felt like a different slot entirely.
Chaos Crew stood out largely thanks to its bonus round, and Chaos Crew 2 now offers no fewer than four bonus variations. Each is designed to deliver increasing intensity, building up in theory to the Best of Super Bonus, and it would be interesting to know the natural trigger rate for each one—especially since the higher-tier options are somewhat expensive to buy. Money aside, the bonus gameplay in Chaos Crew 2 is just as entertaining as in the original, if not better. There are more multiplier symbol types to chase, including sticky versions, although those are predictably uncommon. When they do land, they can be extremely valuable, and the Sticky Epic Cranky Cat is a particularly sought-after hit. In terms of maximum potential, Hacksaw Gaming has outright doubled the win cap to 20,000x the bet, placing Chaos Crew 2 among the highest-ceiling games in the studio’s lineup.
Overall, Chaos Crew 2 feels like Chaos Crew turned up to the max, with nearly every element expanded, extended, or adjusted into a larger and potentially wilder experience than the first. It can be a demanding slot, and organically triggering bonus rounds may be difficult (though BonusHunt FeatureSpins changes that dramatically), which could make it especially attractive to players who prefer buying features—though it’s not limited to them. However you approach it, if the idea of battling an evolved Sketchy Skull and Cranky Cat with a broader set of features sounds appealing, Chaos Crew 2 offers a much bigger playground for the chaos.
