Cash Truck 3 Turbo: Slot Overview
In the world of top-tier hold ‘n win slots, one particular line of train-themed titles has been setting the pace for some time. Don’t worry, we’ll get to those soon enough. Still, early 2022 saw developer Quickspin unleash Cash Truck like a runaway engine, turning heads with its absorbing setting and smart mix of features. A festive edition arrived later, followed by Cash Truck 2, and while both were thoroughly enjoyable, neither quite matched the original’s impact. Now Cash Truck 3 Turbo is here, and anyone who enjoyed the earlier games will naturally be watching closely to see how the third instalment delivers.
While Cash Truck unfolded in a dystopian desert and the sequel sped toward a futuristic city, Cash Truck 3 Turbo rolls along a pine-lined route through mountainous terrain, with a towering spotlight-lit robot on one side and a creepy villain-lair-style structure on the other. There’s plenty of atmosphere, with echoes of ‘The Iron Giant‘, Dr Kahl’s robot boss fight from ‘Cuphead’, and a dash of ‘Necromunda’s’ Delaque gang. In short, it’s an eclectic mix, and the shift in theme gives the series an exciting fresh start. Front and centre sits the legendary Cash Truck, with players pursuing it from a first-person viewpoint.

Mounted on the back of the truck is a 5-reel grid with 7 positions per reel, although the base game begins with only 4 rows active. The remaining three are locked. Stakes range from 20 c to $/€100, and there are two bonus buy options available to jump straight into the bonus round. The default RTP for standard play is 96.06%, and the underlying math is highly volatile (rated 5 out of 5). With a hit rate of 21.85%, the game runs a left-to-right, from-the-leftmost-reel ways-to-win system, offering up to 16,807 ways when all 7 rows are active.
Low pays come as cog-shaped hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs; medium symbols include a knife, a grenade, a gun, Shock Trooper, Kowalski, and Doctor Kriegsmann; and the top symbol is Maximillian ‘Max’ Turbo. Landing 5 OAK winning lines returns 0.25x for lows, 0.5x to 2x for mediums, or 5x for the high. Wilds – both the regular and the big wild, replace all symbols except the scatter.
Cash Truck 3 Turbo: Slot Features

The Truck Raider Bonus Game is the headline feature in Cash Truck 3 Turbo, supported by tumbling reels, an expanding play area, Big Wilds, Second Chance, a gamble option, and bonus buys.
Expanding Play Area
With tumbling reels, winning symbols are removed from the grid and fresh symbols fall in to fill the gaps. Tumbling keeps going whenever new winning combinations appear. Each tumble that produces a win expands the play area by unlocking 3 random positions from the locked section, revealing the symbol beneath. Any unlocked positions reset between base game spins.
Big Wild
A 3×3 Big Wild can be dropped into the centre of the grid. This occurs the first time there are no locked spots in the base game, once all tumbles have finished.
Second Chance
When there are exactly 2 scatters in the open area after tumbles are complete, the Second Chance hasn’t already happened in the round, and the Big Wild isn’t triggered, the Second Chance will occur. Second Chance clears the open play area of all symbols except scatters, then new symbols drop into the emptied spaces.
Gamble
After the bonus game is triggered, players may gamble for the opportunity to begin with more Expander symbols. This is available provided players initially won less than 3 Expander symbols. Winning the gamble awards an extra Expander; losing it means the bonus round is forfeit.

Truck Raider Bonus Game
Landing 3 or more unlocked scatter symbols in the base game triggers the Truck Raider Bonus Game. If more than 3 scatters land, the Truck Raider Bonus Game begins with +1 extra Expander symbol for each additional scatter. The Truck Raider Bonus Game starts with 3 spins. Whenever a symbol lands, it restores the spins to 3. The feature ends once no spins remain. On each spin, cash and/or special symbols can appear. Any symbols that land remain in place for the rest of the round unless another feature removes them. The values shown are bet multipliers. The symbols are:
- Cash – lands with a bet multiplier value.
- Grabber – adds the values of all other symbols in the unlocked play area to its own value upon landing.
- Turbo Grabber – adds the values of all other symbols on the unlocked play area to its own value upon landing and on each following spin where another symbol lands.
- Doubler – doubles its value each time the spin counter resets to 3.
- Zapper – doubles the value of all symbols orthogonally connected to it in a chain of symbols upon landing.
- Turbo Zapper – doubles the value of all symbols orthogonally connected to its cluster by touching sides and on each following spin where another symbol lands.
- Booster – adds its value to all other symbols in the unlocked play area upon landing.
- Turbo Booster – adds its value to all other symbols on the unlocked play area upon landing and on each following spin where another symbol lands.
- Upgrader – upgrades orthogonally adjacent symbols. A Cash symbol can be upgraded to a Grabber or a Booster. A Grabber, Zapper, or Booster gets upgraded to the Turbo version.
- Expander – unlocks 3 randomly chosen locations from the locked area.
Buy Bonus
From the base game, players may purchase the Truck Raider Bonus Game triggered by at least 3 scatters for 75x the bet (RTP 96.36%) or the Truck Raider Bonus Game triggered by at least 5 scatters for 375x the bet (RTP 96.66%).

Cash Truck 3 Turbo: Slot Verdict
One arguable point about the Cash Truck series is that it hasn’t evolved from entry to entry in quite the same way Relax Gaming’s Money Train line did. With Money Train, each new release generally felt larger, sharper, and more ambitious, building in a clear upward progression. Cash Truck hasn’t followed that pattern as strongly. The first game was exceptional, giving players a clear Money Train alternative packed with great ideas. The second (and the Christmas version) was certainly good, but not an obvious step up from the original. Cash Truck 3 Turbo is, once again, a brilliant slot, though it doesn’t deliver the kind of major leap you might compare to Money Train to Money Train 2. That’s not a takedown of Cash Truck 3 Turbo at all—it’s a strong game—just a point of comparison.
The new theme is a welcome shift away from the Mad Max-style wasteland of the first game and the Blade Runner 2049 vibe of part 2, moving instead toward a retro comic-book/thriller feel for part 3. That change in tone helps sweep aside what came before and makes Cash Truck 3 Turbo feel new—at least more so than it otherwise might. Another nice extra, when it appears, is the Big Wild symbol slam-down. It’s not something you should expect frequently, but it’s a satisfying base-game payoff for fully unlocking the board. Even so, the Truck Raider Bonus Game remains the clear star of any Cash Truck title. This Truck Raider Bonus Game certainly isn’t short on special symbols. They may not combine with each other as deeply as they can in a Money Train slot, but there’s still plenty of grabbing and adding potential. Potentially. The win potential has also crept upward, now topping out at 40,000x the bet, which, during Quickspin’s testing phase, apparently, was achieved once in 73,345,418 spins. It’s also good to see the Doubler return, and the Upgrader, aka the Arms Dealer, is a welcome addition.
Overall, Cash Truck 3 Turbo may not recreate the original’s wow factor, but it’s an excellent slot and one that strengthens a series already positioned as one of the biggest Money Train challengers in the hold ‘n win market.
