Throughout, there’s usually something on the horizon, and the action keeps moving. The base game’s respin-and-expand core mechanic works well, and the two-way pay system suits it nicely. It did give off a slight PopWins-ish feel, though that’s hardly a downside. A little extra pressure on AvatarUX could even be a good thing. From there, Buzz Thrill spins off into a range of feature-driven directions.

Coin wins bring the heat; they’re present, along with a pay-anywhere symbol faux-Ra style effect, and both tie into the expansion mechanics. It’s difficult to imagine what else DreamSpin could have crammed into Buzz Thrill without tipping it into feature overload. As it stands, the blend of familiar ideas and fresher twists keeps everything lively and gives players plenty to engage with. If there’s one potential sticking point—maybe not a complaint exactly—it’s that the 5,000x max win feels a little light for what the game is trying to be. It’s still a perfectly respectable cap, but a higher ceiling might have added more punch overall and helped Buzz Thrill land with even more impact on release.

That said, it’s more of a note than a knock against a debut that doesn’t offer much to tear apart.
