Bull in a Rodeo: Slot Overview
Yeehaw, partners—it’s about time to pull on the gloves, hats, and plaid and step into the arena for a rodeo-themed online slot from developer Play’n GO. In the real world, bull riding is all about hanging on with one hand long enough to earn a score in what’s often dubbed “the most dangerous eight seconds in sports.” That’s eight seconds of intense adrenaline that most people probably have no interest in trying. Far more players are likely to fancy a spin on Bull in a Rodeo, which delivers a rodeo-flavoured experience from a safe distance, complete with three Wild Features and free Freedom Spins.
Bull in a Rodeo is set in what looks like the bucking chute, where riders mount up before the gate swings open and the clock starts. Around the scene are cheering grandstands, megaphones, gates, a big padlock, and plenty of animated bulls that appear both on and off the reels. The rodeo vibe comes through clearly, and Play’n GO has opted for a playful, upbeat take on the theme rather than a more serious approach like Red Tiger leaned into with Bulls Run Wild.

Available on tablets, mobiles, and desktop, getting in the saddle means choosing a wager from 5 p/c to $/€100 per spin. Bull in a Rodeo is a medium/high volatile title with a theoretical return to player of 96.21%, and it comes across as aimed at a more casual audience. Gameplay takes place on a 5-reel, 3-row layout, with 20 paylines running across the grid to form winning combos.
Prizes land when matching symbols appear on consecutive reels along a payline, starting from the first reel. The lowest-paying symbols are the card suits—clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades—returning 1 to 1.4x the bet for five of a kind. Above them are hats, boots, liquor bottles and glasses, mirrors, and a character that looks like a rodeo clown but is labelled beneath the reels as the cowboy. Hitting five premium symbols on a payline awards 4 to 18 times the stake.
Wilds are one of the headline attractions in Bull in a Rodeo, and whichever version shows up, they can substitute for regular paying symbols to help complete winning lines. Finally, wild bull symbols can pay up to 40-80x the bet for five on a line, depending on which wild type delivers the win.
Bull in a Rodeo: Slot Features

Bull in a Rodeo isn’t the sort of slot you’d call complex, with the extras mainly focused on three Wild features and a free-spin round of Freedom Spins.
The Bull
Landing The Bull symbol activates a Wild feature. One option is the Happy Bull, which randomly places wild symbols on the reels. The Proud Bull randomly generates full reel Stacked Wilds, while the Angry Bull produces random Multiplier Wilds.
Freedom Spins
If The Bull symbol and a Gate Scatter symbol appear together on the screen, you receive 10 Freedom Spins. While Freedom Spins are running, The Bull symbol can still trigger one of the Wild features, and 3 extra Rodeo Bull Wild symbols are placed in random positions. On the very last Freedom Spin, the bonus can be retriggered.

Bull in a Rodeo: Slot Verdict
Real bull riding may be known as “the most dangerous eight seconds in sports,” but Bull in a Rodeo doesn’t really aim for that kind of intensity. It’s entertaining and has plenty of character, though it also feels like a smaller release by Play’n GO standards. The game seems more focused on raising a smile with its bullish behaviour than pushing players to grit their teeth and hang on for dear life. It was also hard not to think of ELK Studios’ classic Wild Toro while playing Bull in a Rodeo, as the two share a few similarities. One obvious overlap is that both encourage players to cheer for the bulls. In Wild Toro, that usually means celebrating when Toro catches the Matador. Bull in a Rodeo takes a more modern route, swapping the contentious bullfighting angle for a theme centred on setting livestock free.
That “release” happens when The Bull and the Gate Scatter symbol land, which triggers Freedom Spins. You’ll want them to arrive at the right time, because the base game can feel quite sluggish for long stretches. The three Wild features are present, but during our test play they didn’t activate all that frequently. Proud Bulls often resulted in just a single stack, and Angry Bulls didn’t show up especially often either. Things move faster in free spins, where The Bull appears more regularly, increasing the rate of Wild features and bringing in the three extra Rodeo Bull Wilds. The reels can get busy with wild action, though it can also feel a bit like running in circles, since Bull in a Rodeo tops out at 2,000x the bet. That seems reasonable for a game of this style, but it’s on the low side compared to Play’n GO’s usual standards.
Even so, anyone who enjoyed Wild Toro may find plenty to like here too. Bull in a Rodeo puts up a decent fight, but it isn’t as mechanically distinctive as Wild Toro, nor as memorable. It leans on a few wild-based tricks and the appeal of its cartoon bulls to do the heavy lifting—so if that charm doesn’t land for you, it may be tough to keep holding on for another ride.
