Buffalo Win Infinity Reels: Slot Overview
We’ll be honest: when Buffalo Win Infinity Reels first appeared, we weren’t exactly counting down the minutes to try it. Studio PG Soft has already released several Infinity Reels slots, whisking players from Egypt to Bali to a snowy wonderland, and none really stood out. Add the familiar wilderness backdrop, and our excitement was pretty muted. Still, going in with low expectations can sometimes pay off, and that’s partly what happened here. With elements like expanding symbols, a progressive win multiplier, and free spins working nicely together, Buffalo Win Infinity Reels ended up delivering enough to keep things fun after some reel-building action in the wild.
To start with, because PG Soft is built around mobile play, Buffalo Win Infinity Reels is best experienced on a smartphone. It’s playable on desktop too, but as with other PG Soft titles, you’re stuck with a small, mobile-style game window while the rest of the screen shows a blurred outdoor backdrop. Even after seeing this approach multiple times, it’s still unclear why PG Soft sticks with it. It feels like it wouldn’t have taken much to sharpen the background, enlarge the reels, and make the layout more desktop-friendly. Presumably, there’s a business reason for keeping it this way. Either way, the core setup is a 3-reel, 4-row grid that can expand, not only by adding reels but also when certain symbols split into stacks.
Although it runs on pretty much any device, Buffalo Win Infinity Reels supports bets from 20 p/c to $/€200 per spin. Listed as Medium volatile, its 25,000x max win is certainly notable, even if it’s not as wildly ambitious as some other PG Soft Infinity Reels releases have claimed. On the plus side, the RTP is pleasantly high at 96.74%, which sits above the usual average.
Standard Infinity Reels mechanics apply, meaning that if a winning combination covers all 3 reels, an extra reel is added on the right. If that new reel improves the win or includes a free spins symbol, another reel is added, and the process continues until a reel lands without winning symbols or scatters. After that, the next spin begins again at the default 3×4 size. In terms of payouts, the game uses 10 regular symbols. The first six are the usual 9-A royals paying 1 to 2 times your stake, while the premium symbols—eagles, horses, wolves, and cougars—pay 3 to 5 times your stake. Buffalos act as wild symbols, don’t carry a payout themselves, but help form wins by substituting for any paying symbol. You’ll also see lots of wheat-covered blocker tiles, which simply occupy reel space without providing any benefit.
Buffalo Win Infinity Reels: Slot Features
Alongside the main Infinity Reels mechanic, Buffalo Win Infinity Reels includes a multiplier, expanding stacked symbols, and free spins.
Multiplier
Each base game spin begins with the win multiplier set to x1. Every time an extra reel is added to the grid, the multiplier increases by +1. Once no further reels are added, the final win amount is increased by the multiplier that has been built up.
Expanding stacked symbols
This is easily the standout twist in Buffalo Win Infinity Reels. When paying symbols land, they can appear as standard 1×1 icons, or they can take up 2 to 4 positions on a reel. If one of these larger symbols contributes to a win, it then transform themselves into a random number of symbols:
- Symbols covering 2 spaces split into 3 or 4 symbols.
- Symbols covering 3 spaces split into 4, 5, or 6 symbols.
- Symbols covering 4 spaces split into 5, 6, 7, or 8 symbols.
Within a single spin sequence, landing 3 scatter symbols awards 10 free spins. If more than 3 scatters appear, every additional scatter adds +2 free spins. During free spins, all symbols involved in the expanding stacked feature become wild symbols. On top of that, the win multiplier does not reset between free spins.
Buffalo Win Infinity Reels: Slot Verdict
If you enjoy rugged wilderness themes, eerie wolf calls, and charging buffalo, Buffalo Win Infinity Reels is worth a look. We found it fairly engaging, and it likely benefited from the fact that we came in with tempered expectations due to the familiar setting and the uneven Infinity Reels history. PG Soft adds animated touches to the animal symbols to make them feel more alive, backed by stormy, lightning-lit skies, and the audio does a solid job of setting the tone. There’s a reason this kind of scenery keeps showing up in slot releases.
The feature set is also put together with care. The expanding symbols, aka xWays, are enjoyable, particularly when the win multiplier is climbing or when those symbols turn wild. Together, these mechanics can produce a respectable payout from time to time—when the game decides to cooperate. The way the features interact becomes even more noticeable in free spins, thanks to the multiplier carrying over and the wild conversions. From a technical standpoint, Buffalo Win Infinity Reels also has potential, with a stated maximum of 25,000x the bet. If you’ve been tracking PG Soft’s Infinity line, you’ll know that’s only a quarter of what some of the others advertise; however, their 100,000x max win still doesn’t seem to have shown up. Put another way, that bigger figure may well be more marketing than reality.
At times, Buffalo Win Infinity Reels even gave off a slight Nolimit City vibe, which makes you curious about what they might do with the Infinity Reels concept. It doesn’t feel overly basic or overly complicated, instead landing in a comfortable middle zone—and for us, it’s been the most enjoyable PG Soft Infinity Reels entry so far. Just keep in mind that it really suits mobile play; on larger screens, everything feels unnecessarily squeezed into a small area.
