Bounty Raid 2: Slot Overview

If you’re chasing that outlaw-cool reputation, few things scream “made it” like having a bounty on your head—though we’re clearly glamorising it. In real life, folks with bounties tend not to be the friendliest faces you’d want to meet on a cold, dark, windy night. Luckily, all this bounty-hunting talk is tied to Bounty Raid 2, an online slot from games maker Red Tiger and the follow-up to the 2020 release Bounty Raid. Back then, Bounty Raid didn’t exactly set the world on fire, but Bounty Raid 2 aims to be a tougher, beefier version of the original—so if you fancy loading the trusty six-shooter and tracking down bad guys, it’s worth a look.

To start with, Bounty Raid 2 is a sharp-looking slot. The lead character is pure badass energy: a shock of red hair, a shotgun thrown over one shoulder, and an expression that says she takes no nonsense. She’s all business—and judging by the scene, business is booming. The game is set in a timber-heavy town where gold coins are practically scattered around, while a skull, a lamp, and a rope hanging from the walls add extra flavour. Trigger the bonus round and the setting switches from town to a full-on train chase, rolling under a brooding sky streaked with locomotive smoke. Overall, Bounty Raid 2 delivers a great-sounding, great-looking Western vibe that sets the stage nicely for keyboard bounty hunters.

Bounty Raid 2 slot – base game

Bounty Raid 2 is divided into a standard line-win base game (with added twists) and a hold ‘n win bonus round. In the base game, play takes place on a 5-reel, 4-row grid with 20 paylines to form winning combinations. While the original was medium volatile, Bounty Raid 2 is a touch more volatile, though it still sits in the medium bracket. It comes in multiple RTP models, topping out at 95.68%, and the betting range runs from 10 p/c to $/€40 per spin.

Standard pay symbols award prizes when 3 to 5 matching icons land, and there are 9 in total. The lower-value set is the 4 card suits—clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades—while the higher-paying symbols are boots, a hip flask, a gun, a skull, and gold bars. Land 5 of a low symbol and you’ll receive 1 to 2.5 times the bet, while 5 premium symbols pay 3 to 8 times the bet. Bounty Raid 2 may skip wilds, but it makes up for it with several other special symbols to keep an eye on.

Bounty Raid 2: Slot Features

One of these special symbol types is Bandit scatters, which appear showing monetary prizes and pay out when a Sheriff symbol lands at the same time or once the bonus round finishes. Bandits can lock for up to 5 spins, and while locked, their values increase on each following spin. When Bandits land next to each other, the Bandit carrying the highest bounty transfers it to all other adjacent Bandits—as long as a Sheriff or a Bounty Hunter is present. Bounties also spread to neighbouring Bandits if any Bandit receives an increase, and they will stay locked on the reels for at least 1 additional spin. Depending on the type, Bandits may start with values of 1 to 25 times the stake and no more than 500x.

Sheriff

The Sheriff is a non-paying symbol that can appear on any reel except the middle one. When it lands, the Sheriff captures every Bandit on screen, awarding their bounties. Only 1 Sheriff can land at once, and Sheriffs and Bounty Hunters cannot land at the same time.

Bounty Hunter

The Bounty Hunter is a 1×4-sized symbol that shows up fully stacked on the middle reel. When it lands, it locks all Bandits to trigger a Hold & Respins bonus round, beginning with 3 respins. Any new Bandits that land reset the spin count back to 3. On spins where no Bandits appear, the Bounty Hunter can randomly reset the spin count to 3. Once the respins are over, the total combined value of all Bandits is paid out.

Bounty Raid 2: Slot Verdict

Beyond the bold main character, there wasn’t a whole lot about the original Bounty Raid that really stuck in the memory. It didn’t exactly feel like the kind of game begging for a sequel—yet here we are, riding into town with Bounty Raid 2. Overall, Bounty Raid 2 does feel like a step up from the first release, which is exactly what you want from a follow-on. It’s a larger, more complete package, although that’s not the hardest bar to clear considering how little the first Bounty Raid offered. Put it this way: if Bounty Raid 2 had been any smaller than the original, it would be about the size of a mouse’s paw and could slip into a pocket without effort.

Or a holster—because yes, we’re still firmly in Western territory. Bounty Raid 2 makes sure you don’t forget it either, delivering an appealing frontier look and feel, with the bounty-hunting hook adding extra excitement. Players can get in on the hunt themselves by firing up Bounty Raid 2. The bonus round follows the same basic idea as before: land as many symbols as you can to build up a final payout. This time, though, a couple of key details have shifted. For one, symbol values can climb far higher than they did in the previous game, which supports stronger overall winning potential. Not exactly a legendary payday—this isn’t Boushh delivering Han Solo, frozen in carbonite, to Jabba the Hutt for galaxy-sized riches. Instead, Bounty Raid 2 tops out at a more grounded 2,372.3 times the bet.

Still, that’s more than twice the maximum available in the original Bounty Raid slot. Maybe the series will keep pushing the ceiling higher until, by Bounty Raid 10, we’re looking at 500,000x the bet. Jokes aside, we wouldn’t complain if Red Tiger decided to chase that target. For casual players who want slightly higher volatility and improved upside, Red Tiger has clearly upgraded the 2020 release—though Bounty Raid 2 remains a small fish compared to some other Wild West slots out there. A good-looking one, though.
