Bounty Hunter Unchained: Slot Overview
Players, if you’re keen to indulge any Dog the Bounty Hunter or Sadie Adler daydreams, then check out Bounty Hunter Unchained from developer Blueprint Gaming. For clarity, a bounty hunter here is someone who tracks down criminals or fugitives in exchange for a reward. Where most folks avoid trouble, these fearless types run straight at it—partly for the cash, but also for the pursuit itself, the adrenaline of closing in on a target, and the satisfaction of bringing offenders to justice. Blueprint Gaming seems to be aiming for players to catch a bit of that feeling in Bounty Hunter Unchained, an online slot featuring persistent wilds, Wanted Wilds, free spins with an increasing multiplier, and more.
Bounty Hunter Unchained is a Western-themed online slot set in one of the bleakest backdrops the genre tends to offer. You’re not hanging around a smoky saloon or strolling through a charming wooden frontier town while the sun paints a romantic red sky and invites philosophical thoughts about nature and your place in it. Instead, it looks like sunshine hasn’t visited these parts in ages. Snow pours down over a harsh, lonely mountain spot, as though a villain has been cornered and a relentless bounty hunter has finally caught up. With a subtle True Grit Redemption vibe, Bounty Hunter Unchained sets the stage for a tense showdown far from civilization.

The main play area uses 6 reels with 4 positions on each, plus a Top Tracker reel with 4 positions placed above reels 2-5. That said, Blocker Crates can drop in—these are worthless symbols that occupy space and cut down the number of winning ways. When a win lands next to a Blocker Crate, the Crate is cleared away, and at full capacity Bounty Hunter Unchained can reach up to 10,000 ways to win. The math model is highly volatile, and regardless of how you approach the game—spinning normally at 20 c to $/€10 per spin or purchasing either bonus—the RTP remains fixed at 96.12%.
The cascade mechanic clears winning symbols from the reels when they form a payout (excluding the Bounty Hunter Wild, as covered below); here, the game frames it as slicing and shooting them away. New symbols then fall in from above on the main reels, while the Tracker refills from the side, and cascades continue until no further wins appear. The paytable includes 5 premium Outlaw symbols—each armed, most looking suitably menacing—while the lower tier is made up of metallic 10 to A card royals. A 6 OAK winning way returns 0.3 to 0.4 times the bet for the card ranks or 1 to 5 times the bet for six matching Outlaw symbols. The bounty hunter character acts as the wild symbol and shows up only on the Top Tracker reel. This wild substitutes for any paying symbol and is not removed during winning cascades.
Bounty Hunter Unchained: Slot Features

Alongside the cascade system, Bounty Hunter Unchained features Wanted Wilds, Bounty Hunter Free Spins, Unchained Free Spins, and bonus buys.
Wanted Wilds
Any win that includes a Bounty Hunter Wild and a high-pay Outlaw symbol converts that Outlaw into a Wanted Wild on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 or the Top Tracker for that spin. Wanted Wilds substitute for any paying symbol and carry multipliers of x2 to x10. Wanted Wilds are removed once they contribute to a win.
Bounty Hunter Free Spins
During the base game, landing 3 or 4 scatter symbols awards 6 or 8 Bounty Hunter Free Spins, respectively. Each winning cascade in the feature raises the win multiplier by +1, and it never resets throughout the free spins. Any Wanted Wilds created during a free spin do not carry over to the next spin. Every scatter that lands (they only appear on the Tracker in the bonus) grants up to +2 additional free spins.
Unchanged Free Spins
If 5 or 6 scatters land in the base game, players receive 10 or 12 Unchained Free Spins, respectively. This mode follows the same rules as Bounty Hunter Free Spins, except that any Wanted Wilds created on a free spin remain active till the bonus ends.
Buy Bonus
From the bonus buy menu, players can purchase Bounty Hunter Free Spins for 80 times the bet or Unchained Free Spins for 250 times the bet.

Bounty Hunter Unchained: Slot Verdict
Blueprint Gaming isn’t particularly famous for Western gunslinger slots. Bison and mining games, absolutely—the studio has released plenty of those, plus King of the West some time ago—but it’s not a theme they’ve leaned into heavily overall. It’s possible that, while creating Bounty Hunter Unchained, the team took cues from one of the big names in Western slot design, Nolimit City. A few elements in Bounty Hunter Unchained sparked that thought: the bleak atmosphere, the way winning symbols are cut down, the two-tier bonus structure, and so on. We could be completely wrong, of course—just noting the similarities.
That said, Bounty Hunter Unchained isn’t as complex as an NLC slot that feels like solving a sudoku, so it’s much easier to get into. The base game blends quasi-Megaways-style reel behavior thanks to Blocker Crates appearing and being destroyed, along with the chance to transform premium Outlaws into multiplier Wanted Wilds when they land in a win with the Bounty Hunter Wild. It didn’t happen constantly during testing, but it may still be enough to keep things engaging. Landing more than 4 scatters was, unsurprisingly, not simple—though it’s worth chasing, since Wanted Wilds retain their values in the Unchained Free spins that follow. Presumably, that’s where the strongest opportunity for big returns sits, potentially reaching 8,000x the bet or $/€250,000 – whichever comes first.
In the end, Bounty Hunter Unchained didn’t come across as a title destined to be remembered as an all-time Western slot classic, but fans of the theme should be satisfied with its specific feature set and the less common setting in which it plays out.
