This will be welcome news for fans of classic “Book” slots like Book of Ra and Book of Dead. If Big Time Gaming’s Queen of Riches is basically Twin Spin on crack, then this is definitely Book of Ra with rocket fuel added! With Book of Gods, BTG has blended some of the strongest ideas from titles such as Book of Ra (expanding symbols) and Magic Mirror Deluxe (retriggers that add extra expanding symbols), while also using 243 paylines rather than the 10 paylines found in the traditional Book slots.

There’s clearly enormous upside here, but it’s mainly concentrated in the bonus, where a full screen of the Goddess of the Afterlife returns 4860x. That’s not quite the same as a full screen of explorers in Book of Ra (5000x), but it’s still huge potential. The experience can feel very all-or-nothing though, and since so much of the value is packed into the bonus, the main game can come across as a little slow.

We’re big fans of Big Time Gaming and appreciate how they’ve almost single-handedly reshaped the iGaming industry. We’re honestly even more excited about this one than we were for Bonanza 2, because it stands out more compared to anything else the company has attempted before.
