Bonus Bunnies: Overview
Return to the countryside in Bonus Bunnies, a cheerful farm-themed slot packed with animals, farmers, and crops from developer Nolimit City. A studio famous for producing some truly outrageous games tones things down a bit here, which some players may feel leaves the action on the lighter side. Then again, not every creature needs to be a ferocious predator—some are just, well, bunnies. With that in mind, pull on your wellies and take a rural stroll to see what this slot has in store.
Before we get going, a quick detour. We like to dig deep into every title that lands on the desk, and while looking into Bonus Bunnies, we stumbled across some odd carrot trivia. For starters, carrots weren’t always orange. In the 16th century, Dutch farmers selectively bred mutant strains of what was then a purple vegetable until the orange variety became common. It gets even weirder: while the beta-carotene won’t give you night vision, eating too many carrots can actually tint your skin an orange hue.
Bonus Bunnies probably won’t dye you orange, though it might leave you red or pale depending on how your session goes. With stakes from 20 p/c up to $/€100 per spin, the game includes a bonus buy option that changes the RTP. In default mode, the setting is 96.14%, rising to 96.43% when the feature buy is enabled. That said, it can also be offered at a reduced 94.22%, so it’s worth checking before you play.
Nolimit City also does players a favor by clearly showing volatility, so you know what you’re signing up for. For Bonus Bunnies, the math model is rated medium+, which is a bit gentler than you might expect from this developer. The hit frequency is on the low side at 18.2%, though the bonus frequency isn’t too extreme, averaging 1 in 179 spins.
Starting up Bonus Bunnies immediately brought Push Gaming’s Fat Rabbit to mind. It’s not only the farm-and-bunny theme, but also the way the rabbit travels across the reels, plus a few other small similarities. Either way, play begins with bunches of carrots dangling above the timber-framed 4×4 grid before the setup expands like a fast-spreading weed. After that, the reels fill out with a proper veggie patch of symbols—tomatoes, peas, aubergines, onions—alongside A-10 royals.
Because of the layout, wins can only form with groups of three or four across the game’s 30 paylines. And you’ll definitely prefer landing four of a kind, as the jump in value is huge. For instance, the tomato is the top-paying symbol at 0.90x for three of a kind, but it leaps to 15x for a line of four. Wilds match that, paying 15x for four of a kind, and they also substitute for any standard pay symbol.
Bonus Bunnies: Features

In keeping with the relaxed rural feel, Bonus Bunnies doesn’t overload you with mechanics. The feature set is fairly compact, consisting only of Bonus + Wild Expansions and Carrot Link Spins.
The Bonus + Wild Expansion feature works somewhat like the growing wild mechanic seen in Fat Rabbit. Rabbits appear as the scatter symbol. When a scatter lands at the same time as a wild, the rabbit jumps out of the scatter frame (turning it into a wild), hops over to the wild, and eats it. When that happens, the entire reel becomes wild. If two or more bonus symbols land, then both the reel and the row containing the wild are turned wild.
If you’ve played Relax Gaming’s Money Train, you’ll have a solid idea of how the Carrot Link Spins bonus plays out. The feature starts by awarding 3 spins when triggered by landing 3 or more bonus symbols on the screen. The bonus symbols that activated the round transform into carrot symbols, each showing a multiplier of the total bet. Every other position becomes an empty tile. On each spin, one of the following can land in the empty spaces:
- Extra carrots with bet multipliers.
- Harvesters which collect all of the multipliers already in view, essentially doubling the amount.
- Fertilizers who add their multiplier value to each of the carrot symbols present.
- Settlers who add another row or reel to the setup.
Whenever a new symbol lands, the spin count is refreshed back to 3. The feature finishes once the grid is filled, or when you run out of spins—after which the accumulated multiplier is applied. If every position is filled, the final symbol that can appear is a key, which opens a chest and awards a multiplier of x3, x4, or x5 that is applied to the total collected multiplier amount.
As noted earlier, Bonus Bunnies can also come with a feature buy option called the Nolimit Bonus. For 60 times the stake, players can purchase immediate access to Carrot Link Spins on the next spin.
Bonus Bunnies: Verdict
Bonus Bunnies feels like a clear shift away from Nolimit City’s more intense, high-octane titles. Because of that, it’s likely to attract a different audience than games like Barbarian Fury or Punk Rocker. For us, Bonus Bunnies didn’t come close to matching the excitement of those releases. There aren’t many features, and when they do land, they’re more understated than spectacular. That said, we did enjoy triggering the bonus via the bonus buy, which skips a somewhat drawn-out base game while also boosting the RTP.
When it comes to bigger payouts, the advertised ceiling is strong at up to 6,950 times the stake. Still, given how the mechanics operate, it’s difficult to picture reaching that kind of return. It’s unlikely to come from Bonus + Wild Expansions, which means Carrot Link Spins has to do the heavy lifting—requiring a massive pile of carrots and modifiers. Even then, it’s tough to see exactly how 6,950x (or anything close) would realistically be achieved.
Of course, not every slot needs to be a brutal, high-volatility monster. Studios have to explore other corners of the market too. But despite the impressive stated max win, Bonus Bunnies probably won’t satisfy players chasing huge hits or constant adrenaline. From the mellow, banjo-led soundtrack to the charming characters, this one is more about relaxing on the farm and taking in the view. If you want more from a slot than a laid-back session, you’ll likely be better off looking elsewhere.
