Beriched: Slot Overview
Slip on a witch or wizard hat and start combining ingredients with Red Tiger in its spellbound slot Beriched. And it’s not just a figure of speech; Beriched (bewitched, yes) revolves around landing specific symbols on specific reels to convert them into wilds via the Recipe feature. It’s a useful idea on paper, but it can feel like Red Tiger left out an essential component while concocting Beriched and patched things up with whatever was at hand. The outcome is a slot that can deliver the occasional magical flash, yet more often becomes an odd ride where irritation tends to beat enjoyment.
Taking place in a castle-style setting, Beriched runs on a 5-reel, 4-row layout with 20 fixed ways to win. Thick candles light up the reels and the chamber, giving it a cosy glow, though it’s not exactly overflowing with witchy atmosphere. The soundtrack suits the visuals nicely, which look good without being particularly standout. In short, it’s a stone room, candlelight, and a cauldron spilling green sludge. Any real enchantment has to come from the mechanics—if fortune allows.
Payouts land when matching symbols connect left to right on neighbouring reels starting from the far-left reel. The upside is fairly restrained, so Red Tiger has widened the betting options from 10 p/c at the lower end, up to $/€40 per spin for bigger spenders. Volatility sits at a high level, and the default RTP is set at 95.78%.
In Beriched, symbols don’t only exist to form winning combinations—they’re also ingredients for recipes, which we’ll cover shortly. First, the paytable includes 10 standard symbols: five low pays (10-A card ranks) and five premium picture icons. The higher-value set features dolls, potion bottles, frogs, spell books, and green wizard/witch hats. When a five-of-a-kind premium combination lands, it pays 2 to 10 times their stake.
Beriched: Slot Features

Free spins and Recipes are the two core features in Beriched. Before each spin begins, a random selection of symbols appears beneath the reels—one symbol under each reel. This display is known as the recipe. If a symbol lands on a reel matching the one below it, it activates the Symbol Lock mechanic.
Any symbols that match become locked for one spin. If additional matches land on the next spin, they are locked as well and the Symbol Lock mechanic triggers again. If a spin in the chain produces no new matching symbols, then every locked symbol is released.
Match a symbol on all five reels and the recipe is completed. All matching symbols then turn wild for that spin, and the recipe pattern is cleared. Once the win is calculated, a fresh recipe pattern shows up on the following spin. This is the only method for wilds to appear in the slot, and a full line of wilds pays 15 times the stake.
Hit 3 scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 to win 10 free spins. In free spins, the recipe transfers over and remains throughout the bonus round. Any locked paying symbols from the triggering spin turn into wilds at the end of the first free spin before wins are assessed. If the recipe is completed on the same spin that triggers the bonus, the wilds carry into free spins and a new recipe appears. During the feature, any new matching symbols that land immediately turn wild. Also, wilds stay locked in position for the duration of the bonus round. Scatters are not present in free spins, meaning the feature cannot be retriggered.
Beriched: Slot Verdict
Following the pop-culture showpiece of NFT Megaways, Red Tiger returns to familiar territory with Beriched. It’s as if the studio proved it could go all-in on originality, then eased back into a safer cruise mode. Beriched carries that recognisable Red Tiger feel—attractive visuals, the familiar clinking coin win presentation, and a quirky mechanic to round it out. Overall, it runs fine, but there’s little here that truly impresses. The Recipe Feature can shine when wilds spread across the grid, yet it also has a habit of falling flat when things don’t line up.
After some time with it, Beriched comes across like a project that might have been shelved under different circumstances, letting the team focus elsewhere. The Recipe feature clicks during free spins, but in the base game it can be genuinely aggravating. The biggest problem is that if you don’t complete the recipe, it often feels like the mechanics interfere with each other. When paying symbols are stuck on one reel (or more), they’re very effective at stopping anything else from developing.
As an example, you might see a run of spins where matching symbols accumulate across several reels, but because they’re different symbol types, they frequently prevent wins from connecting. There’s a slim chance you finish the recipe and they flip to wilds, which is great. But most of the time, they simply block one another. As noted, free spins are where the mix finally starts to simmer, since matches always become wilds instead of getting in the way. Sticky wilds can produce consecutive wins, which can be entertaining, though the maximum potential is 2754 times the stake.
Put it all together and Beriched ends up as an average release. Sticky wilds in free spins are the standout, but outside of that, the drawbacks are hard to ignore. Players who love potion-brewing themes may be captivated; everyone else might feel Beriched is closer to a small parlour trick than David Copperfield soaring over the Grand Canyon.
