Anvil & Ore: Slot Overview
Helmets on—Games Global partner Alchemy Gaming takes players underground in an online slot called Anvil & Ore. This mining-style release acts as a deep-earth stage for a selection of familiar Alchemy Gaming mechanics, including Echo Roll, Upsizer, Rolling Reels, a win multiplier, and more—elements the studio has combined before and now brings back for another run beneath the surface.
Anvil & Ore is a weighty, steady (in a good way) hammer-and-tongs adventure set far below ground. Alchemy Gaming clearly enjoys going under the surface; a previous Echo Rolls title, Aquanauts, had the team exploring the ocean depths. Here, the watery gloom is swapped for solid rock, rivers of lava, and a fantasy-tinged atmosphere as players dig for treasure.

Rather than swinging a pickaxe, players choose a bet in this highly volatile slot, with stakes ranging from $/€0.30 to $/€42 per spin. Once the reels are turning, a 5×5 arranged game grid spins and produces wins at a rate of 22.44%. That hit rate applies to the top 96.26% RTP version, though note that three lower RTP models are also offered.
With 3,125 ways to win, payouts land when matching symbols connect from the first reel onward, moving left to right. Any winning symbols are removed by the Rolling Reels feature, allowing new symbols to fall in from above and fill the gaps. The paytable uses metal-styled 10-A card royals for the low values, followed by a hammer, shield, gemmed rocks, a chest of nuggets, and a character symbol as the premiums. For a 5-symbol winning way, returns come in at roughly 0.67x to 0.93x the bet for the low pays and 1.17x to 2.5x the bet for the higher symbols. Wilds pay double the top premium and can substitute for any standard paying symbol.
Anvil & Ore: Slot Features

The other mechanics to cover in Anvil & Ore are the Echo Roll, free spins, Upsizer, Upsizer Max, Upsizer Buy, free spins + free Upsizer Tokens, along with the bonus buy.
Echo Roll
Following any win, the Echo Roll can activate to award another win. The empty positions created by Rolling Reels are filled with low, high, or wild symbols.
Upsizer
Upsizer Coins randomly land during the base game and are collected when they appear. As Coins are collected, they unlock higher modifiers, shown via the Upsizer Trail once free spins are triggered. Upsizer Trail levels feature 6-12 free spins, a max win multiplier of x10, x20, or x50, and 1 or 2 guaranteed Echo Rolls. Hitting 3 or more scatters in the base game grants 1 Upsizer Max Coin. Gathering 5 Upsizer Max Coins activates free spins with the maximum Upsizer Level.
Upsizer Buy
Prior to the start of free spins, Upsizer Buy lets players try to enhance the bonus round by purchasing the Upsizer components they want. The price is worked out and shown on-screen before the player confirms.
Free Spins + Free Upsizer Tokens
Hitting 3 scatters in the base game triggers 6 to 12 free spins based on the current Upsizer Level. Extra scatters on the triggering spin award 50 Upsizer Coins each. During free spins, each landed scatter increases the number of remaining free spins by +1. In addition, a rising win multiplier applies throughout the feature. The multiplier increases after each Rolling Reel roll and does not reset between spins, though it cannot exceed the cap set by the Upsizer Trail. When free spins end, players spin the Upsizer Wheel for a chance to collect 10 to 150 Upsizer Coins.
Buy Bonus
The bonus buy includes 2 choices. First, players can buy either between the current Upsizer Level or Upsizer Max, or second, they can purchase free spins with Upsizer Max. Any Upsizer Coins already collected may be applied to reduce the overall cost.

Anvil & Ore: Slot Verdict
Anyone familiar with Alchemy Gaming’s recent releases will notice plenty of overlap in Anvil & Ore. Echo Rolls, Rolling Reels, and the rising-multiplier free spins are all mechanics the studio has used repeatedly. Even so, it feels like the maths may have been adjusted here, making Anvil & Ore less of an all-or-nothing ride than some earlier titles. In testing, it came across as more even and a touch more generous than comparable games have been.
That impression may be partly explained by the notably smaller maximum win. Where Aquanauts advertised a 50,000x top prize (and we still haven’t seen it produce anything close to that stated ceiling), Anvil & Ore takes a sledgehammer to the number, reducing it to 5,000x the bet. This could disappoint players who enjoy the format but want to chase truly enormous potential. On the other hand, those who’d rather not go quite so all-in may appreciate how the math model appears to handle RTP and distribute wins.
Even so, Anvil & Ore remains a very highly volatile slot, meaning it can still swing hard—like a pickaxe in the grip of a full-blown gold-rush prospector. Catch it on a good run and the mix of Rolling Reels, the win multiplier, and Echo Rolls can be seriously exciting. Maybe not quite the same as striking a thick seam of glittering ore, but exciting nonetheless.
