Amazon Lost Gold: Slot Overview
What, if anything, does it say about us that typing ‘Amazon’ into a search engine usually brings up Jeff Bezos’ vast online marketplace, rather than the Amazon rainforest, often labelled ‘the lungs of the earth’? Maybe later generations will make better sense of it. For now, the Amazon and the surrounding regions still strongly capture the attention of online slot creators, and this is another take from Game Global partner Alchemy Gaming. It’s called Amazon Lost Gold and it takes inspiration from an earlier title, Aquanauts, though with a number of built-in changes.
The most noticeable switch is the setting: this time you’re on solid ground instead of plunging into deep-sea trenches. As with its predecessor, Amazon Lost Gold looks pleasing, and it’s easy to see why this part of the world keeps drawing developers in. The jungle scenery, colourful culture, relics, carvings, and dense sense of exotic adventure can be a potent mix when handled well. Alchemy Gaming mostly nails it here, and Amazon Lost Gold is certainly not a strain on the eyes.

Even with a slight heat-haze vibe in the backdrop, the grid itself is sharp and clear, featuring 5-reels, 5-rows, and offering 3,125 ways to win. Land matching symbols from the left across adjacent reels to earn a cash payout. On the stats side, Amazon Lost Gold is a highly volatile slot with four RTP configurations, topping out at 96.22%. Players can stake from 30 p/c to $/€42 per spin, and Amazon Lost Gold runs on tablet, mobile, and desktop.
With the Rolling Reel feature, winning symbols are removed and new ones fall in from above. This can chain into additional payouts, as Rolling Reels keep going until a drop produces no new win. The pay symbols are split into two clear sets. First are the low-paying carved stone icons, paying roughly 0.67 to 0.93 times the bet; second are the higher-paying animals – frog, toucan, monkey and panther, worth about 1.33 to 2.67 times the bet. Finally, wilds can appear on any reel, replace any regular pay symbol, or deliver up to 5 times the bet for a 5-wild combination.
Amazon Lost Gold: Slot Features

In Amazon Lost Gold, players may encounter Echo Rolls, free spins, a Bonus Wheel, Upsizer, and a bonus buy.
Echo Rolls
After a win, there is a chance Echo Roll will activate and deliver another guaranteed win. The winning spots are repopulated with the same low, high, or wild symbol. During free spins, Echo Rolls may be modified, either so that only wilds can appear or so they are not filled with low pays.
Free Spins with Bonus Reel
Get 3 scatter symbols to trigger the Bonus Wheel and award 8 free spins. Any extra scatter visible grants an additional +2 free spins. Once free spins are underway, landing a scatter adds +1 more free spin to the count. Before the round starts, the Bonus Wheel spins to award:
- 2 or 4 extra free spins.
- Multiplier increments of 2 or 3.
- Wild symbols or no low pay symbols with Echo Rolls.
Free spins run with a win multiplier beginning at x1, increasing by +1 after each Rolling Reel. If greater increments are obtained from the Bonus Wheel, it instead rises by +2 or +3.
Upsizer
Once the Bonus Wheel has spun, players are able to pay for extra upgrades to enhance the free spins round. The costs are shown clearly before players decide to purchase.
Buy Bonus
Players can also purchase immediate entry to the Bonus Wheel plus 8 starting free spins by using the Buy Bonus feature for 50x the bet.

Amazon Lost Gold: Slot Verdict
Amazon Lost Gold is put together well, but it’s probably best not to go in expecting to uncover anything truly unprecedented. Slots often frame the Amazon as though you’re venturing into unknown lands or stumbling upon long-forgotten ruins, yet Central/South American, Aztec, Inca, Amazon and similar themes are extremely familiar in the genre. It’s a bit like imagining you’ll get unique Instagram-worthy shots with your partner at a dream location, only to arrive and find it already packed with crowds who had the same idea.
Still, just as a popular tourist hotspot can be fun, so can slots set in this region. There’s little to criticise in how Alchemy Gaming has approached Amazon Lost Gold, even if it arguably lacks the edge-of-your-seat tension of sinking into the depths in Aquanauts. One factor that may limit the excitement is the much smaller max win. The earlier game advertised a huge 50,000x the bet (whether that was realistically attainable or more of a marketing hook is debatable), but Alchemy Gaming has cut that down to 5,000x the bet in Amazon Lost Gold. Even so, that more achievable ceiling shouldn’t meaningfully spoil the overall Amazon Lost Gold experience—except, perhaps, for players who chase the biggest possible numbers.
Beyond that, it’s largely familiar territory, with the same strengths and drawbacks that implies. Rolling Reels do what they do, Echo Rolls sometimes repeat the action, and the free spins mode boosts things with a climbing multiplier. The pick-and-mix nature of the Upsizer could be tempting, though it’s worth taking a close look at the cost before committing. All told, Amazon Lost Gold may not be the definitive Central/South American-style slot, but it’s a solid option for cutting through the jungle in search of potential treasure.
