A Flight of Fortune: Slot Overview
Fasten your seatbelts (or feathers) as we take a look at one of the more imaginative outfits in the Games Global network, Crazy Tooth Studios. This time the title is A Flight of Fortune, built around the developer’s signature CoinVerge winning mechanic. If CoinVerge is new to you, it delivers a very different approach to chasing wins across the reels. The real question is whether it’s awkward “new for the sake of it,” or the kind of idea other studios will soon be copying.
Crazy Tooth clearly has a soft spot for bird themes, and A Flight of Fortune continues that trend seen in related titles like Lucky Clucks and Lucky Clucks 2. Here, the birds you’re hoping to spot are toucan brackets, as they’re the key to getting paid. It also becomes obvious quickly that A Flight of Fortune doesn’t rely on standard slot symbols. There are no royals, gems, fruit, or similar staples. Instead, the main objective is to gather symbols with the help of those toucan brackets, all set against a tropical, plant-filled backdrop that the info sheet describes as the lush Amazonian jungle. Fair enough.

A Flight of Fortune may play by different rules, but you still need to pick a stake to get involved, with bets running from 25 c to $/€30 per spin. On the stats side, A Flight of Fortune is a highly volatile game with a default RTP of 96.03%, plus two lower RTP versions available. The board looks fairly traditional, yet there are no paylines, ways, or similar systems. Instead, wins depend on toucan collection brackets. When a matching opening bracket and closing bracket land on the same rows (with multiple bracket types in play), they form a collection area, and the coins caught between them pay out the total of their displayed values. Standard paying coins appear in three types – low, medium, and high credit coins. It’s also possible to land more than one collection area in a single spin.
A Flight of Fortune: Slot Features

Extra symbols can also land on the grid to award respins, jungle prizes, or modifiers, and these are supported by a nudge mechanic.
Special Symbols
Special symbols collected in brackets add more punch to A Flight of Fortune’s fun factor and win potential, and include:
- Multiplier Coins – collecting these coins multiplies prizes in the collection areas by 2, 3, 4, or 5.
- Upgrade Coin – collecting this coin upgrades all low and medium coins to high coins while awarding an additional high credit coin.
- Collect Column Coin – collecting this coin adds all coins within its column to the active collection area for the current spin.
- Collect All Coin – collecting this coin adds all coins within the gameboard to the active collection area for the current spin.
- Respin Coin – triggers the respin feature mentioned below when collected.
Jungle Prizes
Jungle prize overlay symbols can show up on the grid, though not during respins. If 3 or more Jungle Prize Overlay symbols appear within a collection area, the active Jungle Prize is awarded. The available prizes are the Major, Minor, and Mini, and after a prize is paid, its value resets. Also flying around is a Jungle Prize Increment symbol represented by a bird. When it lands, it increases one of the Jungle Prizes. This symbol does not appear during respins.
Nudge Feature
The Nudge feature triggers at random. When it hits, it nudges a closing bracket up or down so it lines up with the row of a matching opening bracket, creating a collection area.
A Flight of Fortune Respins
Respin coins with values of 2, 3, or 5 can land in the game. When a Respin coin is collected inside a collection area, respins are awarded. Respins may be retriggered up to a maximum of 8 respins. During the feature, coins within the collection areas are collected and repopulated with fresh coins for the awarded number of respins.

A Flight of Fortune: Slot Verdict
One thing you can say about Crazy Tooth Studios is that it’s reliably consistent—consistently, well, strange. Their releases almost always spark some kind of reaction. That doesn’t always mean edge-of-your-seat excitement, though. More often it’s the “what have they come up with now?” kind of feeling. A Flight of Fortune followed that pattern: it definitely tries to stand apart, yet it still felt like it didn’t quite come together.
Low values are one of the biggest mood-killers in A Flight of Fortune. From what I recall, the first win I saw had the toucans framing a total value around ‘8’. Sounds decent—8 bucks, right? Nope, it worked out to 8 cents. Hmm. It shouldn’t be shocking given Crazy Tooth’s history of stuffing games with tiny-value hits, but it still landed as an unpleasant surprise. On paper, A Flight of Fortune can deliver wins up to 8,000x the bet, which puts it in a pretty serious bracket. Even so, it was difficult to picture that happening often with the tools the game gives you. I’d love to be proven wrong, but still.
A Flight of Fortune may not have delivered many jaw-dropping moments, but hopefully Crazy Tooth Studios keeps tinkering away and releasing quirky titles like this. They might not be building slot-of-the-year winners, yet at least they’re committed to doing things their own way. It would be a shame if some cold corporate giant ever bought them out and turned them into a cookie-cutter machine pumping out bland games that provoke absolutely nothing.
