4 Secret Pyramids: Slot Overview
One of the cool things about online slots is how often developers throw new ideas into the mix. Not every addition is a mind-bending revolution that makes you rethink everything, but even small adjustments can be enough to create something that feels fresh. Of course, like tossing mud at a wall, plenty of concepts don’t stick, and some end up disappearing into the feature graveyard, never to return. One fairly involved mechanic that seemed to have vanished is the Bonus Up concept from the number-crunchers at 4ThePlayer. It first showed up in the Central American-themed 3 Secret Cities, and now, more than a year later, it’s back again in 4 Secret Pyramids.
With a title like 4 Secret Pyramids, it’s pretty clear players are being set up for a journey into the sands of Ancient Egypt. Sure, pyramids exist elsewhere too—Sudan, even Rome—but they’re most strongly associated with Ancient Egypt, so that’s where we’re headed. One of the standout points of 3 Secret Cities was its strong visual presentation, and 4 Secret Pyramids keeps that same high standard. The only drawback is that Egypt is such a heavily used slot theme that the artwork doesn’t feel quite as novel as it might have in a less crowded setting. Still, it’s hard to criticise the visuals, and Egypt fans should enjoy the pyramids, statues, and wildlife on display throughout 4 Secret Pyramids.

A big part of 4ThePlayer’s “for the player” approach is how packed their games are with stats and adjustable options. Starting with the stats: hit Game Rules and you’ll see a table listing 4 Secret Pyramids’ 95% RTP, volatility marked as ‘High’, a max win of 55,000x, plus average best wins after 100 spins. Handy information all around. The betting setup is also flexible. Standard stakes run from 20 p/c to $/€15 per spin, while pressing the x2 Bonus button raises the stake by 25% and doubles free spins awards. On top of that, the Xtra Bonus button increases the chance of triggering free spins, again for 25% extra.
4 Secret Pyramids uses a 5-reel, 4-row layout with 1,024 ways to win. Standard wins land when matching symbols appear on adjacent reels from the left. The best payouts come from five of a kind: the 10-A card symbols pay 1-2x the bet, while five Ankhs, Eyes, Anubis’, adventuresses, or Egyptian ladies return 2.5-5x the bet. Wilds make completing combinations easier by substituting for all symbols except the free spins scatter.
4 Secret Pyramids: Slot Features

With the Bonus Up mechanic making a comeback, it’s worth unpacking how it operates. In short, the game includes 4 bonus round locations, each one offering higher max multipliers and bigger winning potential. The box above the reels shows which location you’ll enter the next time free spins trigger. When 2 scatter symbols land on reels 1 and 3, you select one to either collect a cash prize of up to 50x the bet or move along the trail to the next bonus location. At the lowest tier, you can get up to 15 free spins, a maximum win multiplier of x4, and potential of 12,000x the bet. At the top tier, it increases to up to 55 free spins, a maximum win multiplier of x15, and a 55,000x the bet max win.
Free Spins
The feature activates when 3 scatter symbols land on reels 1, 3, and 5. Before the round begins, two steps take place. First, you can gamble for a chance to move up the trail if you win, or drop down if you lose, to the next bonus tier. After that, the Pyramid Pick feature kicks in. You choose blocks to uncover how many free spins you receive, the win multiplier, and the stacked symbol—all capped by the current bonus round location. Starting from the fourth pick, you may reveal an ‘X’, which ends the selection phase and starts the free spins. During free spins, hitting 3 scatter symbols grants an extra 5-10 free spins.

Buy Feature
Pressing the Buy feature button opens four choices; these are:
- 60x the bet for up to 20 free spins, up to x6 multiplier, and 20,000x the base bet max win.
- 120x the bet for up to 20 free spins, up to x11 multiplier, and 35,000x the base bet max win.
- 120x the bet for up to 40 free spins, up to x6 multiplier, and 35,000x the base bet max win.
- 200x the bet for up to 55 free spins, up to x15 multiplier, and 55,000x the base bet max win.
After purchasing, players still complete the Pyramid Pick feature to set the exact number of free spins, the stacked symbol, and the win multiplier they’ll play with.

4 Secret Pyramids: Slot Verdict
It was good to see 4ThePlayer bring the Bonus Up idea back, though experiencing it a second time means it doesn’t have quite the same “what’s going on here?” impact it did in 3 Secret Cities. Using a more familiar theme likely adds to that feeling. Central American settings aren’t exactly everywhere, while Egyptian slots are among the most common around. Even so, 4ThePlayer has put real effort into the presentation, creating several attractive locations to progress through, and having multiple stops along the way helps the experience stay varied.
4 Secret Pyramids also carries over that adventure vibe from the earlier game, where pushing further along the trail can unlock stronger rewards. Reaching the end and landing the 55,000x the bet is a serious prize, though it may take some persistence since advancing across the map can be a slow process. Outside of that, the core gameplay in 4 Secret Pyramids is actually pretty straightforward. Once you put the map progression and the extra side options to one side, most spins come down to chasing way wins, with the occasional double-scatter cash prize appearing now and then. The execution is polished, though, and the clear information plus the huge theoretical upside are strong selling points. The Pyramid Pick can be entertaining as well, and big multipliers can show up in free spins—worth keeping in mind.
In a sense, if you remove the journey element, the extra stake modifiers, and the bonus buy, 4 Secret Pyramids isn’t much more complicated than a standard ‘book of’ slot. That said, there’s clearly more on the table here, even if the reduced RTP (versus its predecessor) is a little disappointing. Overall, it’s a solid pick for players who want a fairly simple Egypt slot, a massive max win number, and plenty of settings to adjust.
