3 Wildos: Slot Overview
It’s easy to fall into the same old routine—too comfortable, a bit bored—and suddenly crave a major shake-up. It seems Thunderkick’s trio of bandits felt something similar and decided it was time for a change. Whether it’s a midlife moment or simply a desire for a getaway, the three characters from the studio’s Wildos series have packed their bags and headed worldwide for the third instalment. Called 3 Wildos, the game doesn’t just swap scenery; it also pivots the gameplay toward one of these up to three feature free spins events, while sticky multiplier wilds remain part of the deal.
Up to now, The Wildos have been rooted in Wild Western settings, either in the heart of town or aboard a train. 3 Wildos ditches the dusty frontier completely and lands in a postcard scene of pyramids, palm trees, and bright blue skies. Thunderkick’s chosen a clean, appealing art style that suits the new backdrop nicely. The Wildos themselves, though, are impossible to miss. No one would confuse them for holidaymakers. Their face coverings immediately mark them out as bandits—here to loot, not to take souvenir photos—which is likely why we first see them locked in bone cages above the reels.
Running on a 5×3 gaming grid, 3 Wildos uses 9 paylines to pay winning combinations left to right starting from the leftmost reel. The RTP is 94.2%, the math model is medium volatile, and the base stake range sits at $/€0.10 to $/€100 per spin. Switch on Bet+, however, and the stake increases to 3x, making each spin three times more likely to set off free spins.
On the paytable, you’ll find clubs, diamonds, spades, and hearts paying 3x the bet for OAK, plus compasses, badges, statues, green Wildos, blue Wildos, and Red Wildos paying 5x to 50x for a five-of-a-kind hit.
3 Wildos: Slot Features
3 Wildos delivers free spins that can start with one, two, or three features enabled. It also includes Multiplier Wilds and feature buys.
Multiplier Wilds
Multiplier Wilds can land on the middle three reels and substitute for all symbols except scatters. Each one carries multipliers of x1 to x5. Any win involving a multiplier wild is boosted by its multiplier. If multiple Multiplier Wilds contribute to the same win, their multipliers are multiplied together.
Bonus Game
Three scatters—the Red, Blue, and Green—stand for the three Wildos and can appear on any reel, with only one of each colour possible per spin. When a scatter lands, it is collected by the matching Wildo. This collection sequence is purely visual and does not change the winning chances. The bonus can start with any mix of colours, activating one or more free spins modes. When it triggers, players receive 3 free spins, or if the Green Wildo is active, 4 free spins. Every time a new Multiplier Wild lands during free spins, the remaining spins reset to 3 (or 4), and Multiplier Wilds are sticky. Which colours are active decides which features are in play.
- Blue Wildo Collect – A Collect Wild is added to the reels at least once. It collects multiplier values from winning wilds, after those wilds have revealed their multipliers. When combined with the Red feature, collection happens after the upgrade, and if more than one Collect Wild appears, the collected total applies to all.
- Red Wildo Upgrade – The Red Wildo upgrades one or more wilds, adding up to +3 to their multiplier value. The upgrade is active for the rest of the round. At least one upgrade is guaranteed.
- Green Wildo Extra – Awards one extra free spin before the feature begins.
Feature Buys
Players can directly trigger free spins with 1, 2, or 3 Wildos active for 50x, 80x, or 200x the bet, respectively.
3 Wildos: Slot Verdict
It’s hard not to notice how many studios are jumping on the one-, two-, three-feature bonus round approach these days. For a while it felt like a niche idea, but lately it’s spread fast as more casino game developers take their shot at it. Now Thunderkick steps in, pairing the mechanic with its Wildo characters—an obvious match, since there are already three of them ready-made for feature links. The less natural pairing is the bandits dropped into an Aztec-style setting, which may not be the most logical combo, but it’s a lively change of pace—and if the Wildos come back for a fourth outing, who knows where they’ll turn up next.
In any case, the backdrop matters less than what’s happening on the reels, and the base game can feel a touch uneventful. Beyond lobbing dynamite at the caged Wildos above the reels, there isn’t a great deal going on. The bonus round is where things improve, although some effects can be a bit finicky and need the right setup to really pop. Blue Collect Wilds, for example, only take values from other wilds if those wilds are part of wins. With only 9 paylines, wilds can easily miss the action. So even if wilds get upgraded to strong values, the Collect Wild gains nothing unless they help form a winning line. Still, while the payline count is modest, the fact that multipliers multiply each other can be huge when several land in the same win—if you manage to line it up.
So yes: new destination, new mechanics, but at its core, 3 Wildos is still about landing sticky Multiplier Wilds and then pulling them into a paying combination. When it all clicks, players can cash out up to 5,000x their bet. Oddly, that’s the smallest maximum win across the three Wildos slots, so if you want even more sticky multiplier wild punch, something like Relax Gaming’s Top Dawg$ could be the stronger pick. Still, 3 Wildos offers enough to keep fans of these three collection pot style games entertained.
